“Great Hotel”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 7, 2013

This is a great place to stay, it is in the centre of Liverpool with easy walking access to all shops. The Hotel was clean & tidy, the staff were all friendly and helpful and the bed was sooooo comfy I didn't want to get out of bed! Great value for money at £23 for a Friday night! What more do you want. I will defiantly be returning to this Hotel.

Stayed for 1 night with a few friends had 2 rooms. Rooms are huge and very comfy beds. Location is good not a far walk from the main shopping area and train station. Staff are friendly and helpful. At £15 per room per night would definitely return

Family visit, 3 adults sharing a room. Stayed for 2 nights. Greeted by a very friendly receptionist. Fantastic location - 3 minutes walk to the Cavern Club area, 5 minutes to the Liver Building (The Pierhead), 10 minutes to Albert Dock, 15 minutes to Walker Art Gallery and World Museum. Recently refurbished hotel, very comfortable, clean, quiet. The bathroom was really a bathroom with a full sized bath with shower above together with toilet and wash basin. To the person who reviewed the hotel and complained about being short of a towel, here's a tip. There were three of us and we had 2 hand towels and 2 bath towels, although the sofa bed was made up and there were 3 cups provided. Ask at reception and return to room with missing towels. Mistakes happen, if they're resolved immediately, full marks for customer service. Price was exceptional. A midweek stay at £41 per night for the room, although it more than doubles at the weekend, or at least it does in the football season. No surprise there. Only complaint is the lack of car parking although you can park free for up to an hour in Exchange Street East for loading/unloading and overnight from 6.00pm. The hotel provide you with a discount ticket for the nearby NCP car park and that reduces the price from £19.50 to £8.50 for 24 hours. Tip for those arriving by car. If you arrive after 5.00pm, find a free loading/unloading bay, sometime after 6.00pm move the car to a normal parking bay and pay for 1 to 4 hours parking and the ticket starts from the following morning. Just before it runs out, move car to NCP car park. On the day you leave, if you want to stay on for a few hours, move car from NCP to a ground level car park (there are 2 between the hotel and NCP) and pay £4.00 for up to 4 hours or £6.50 for the rest of the day. This was a great 2 night/3 day break for very little cost.

I used this hotel for it's central location for a wedding i attended in Liverpool. I found the hotel to be extremley clean and well maintained. The room was of a good size and the bed and bedding very comfortable. I didn't have any food at the hotel, but used the bar and this area was clean, but perhaps could have been more inviting and seemed more suited to offering a cafe type set up. Would use this hotel again.

This Travelodge was perfectly situated for sightseeing the city, mostly on foot. The welcome and staff were friendly and helpful. The cleanliness of the room was superb. The only comment is that they only provide towels for one person even though we booked as a couple. In the morning, after our first night, I asked at reception for a 2nd.towel. This was readily given, not a problem, however, when we returned to our room in the evening the 2nd.towel had been removed!
The car park (NCP), a 5 minute walk round the corner, had a deal with the hotel - 24 hours normally costing £20 costs £8. So for us, a 48hr.stay cost us £16 instead of £40 - a big saving, and well worth it for a city centre stay.
All in all a good experience.

Brilliant location- 5 min walk to city centre.
The new beds and duvets mean you will have an extremely comfortable stay. The decor in the room is nice too.
Staff were helpful and efficient. Only one towel though- but reception gave us another.

Stayed at his hotel with many friends attending a birthday weekend in Liverpool. The hotel is ideally situated near transport links and local pubs, clubs and restaurants. The rooms are basic but for the price perfect in terms of cleanliness and size with superb shower and tea and coffee facilities. Top location, perfect hotel - a great stay!
