Z Hotel Liverpool
Ranked #18 of 98 Hotels in Liverpool
Certificate of Excellence

We have just stayed the weekend in the Z hotel and cannot praise it highly enough!!!! The reception/ front desk team are so lovely and friendly and can't do enough for you!! I had to print boarding passes off for a flight and they were kind enough to help me with that. The free wine and nibbles were lovely and plentiful!!!! Such a lovely touch!

The location is ideal (especially during the colder months why you don't want to be trekking too far between your hotel and the shops etc.).

The hotel is immaculate, well done to the housekeeping staff and the rooms, if small, were well planned and my one and only complaint is that I could only find one power socket in our room so you couldn't use two appliances at once. Whether all the rooms are like that I don't know.

All in all, the best hotel in Liverpool in my opinion and I will never stay in any other there!! Well deserving of its top 3 status on trip advisor!!

We stayed two nights in a windowless room. The service and friendly staff made our stay! Full sky sports and movies too. Clean and tidy. A stones throw away from the cavern. Only thing I would say is get the train there. Parking is a nightmare! But the hotel is superb!!!

It is an absolutely excellent and successful hotel. The service I received was great. It was my partners birthday and we were given a birthday Card from the hotel and complimentary champagne! George, the guy on reception was so polite and was full of personality - thanks George. The hotel is so clean and the shower is amazing. Advice if you're staying here is catch the train down as parking is very expensive. Great location close to restaurants and shopping and the museums! I will definitely be staying again. thank you once again Z hotel.

My partner and I booked a (window-less) room here for £99 on a Saturday night which was done very reluctantly based on price alone (leaving it until the last minute we didn’t have much choice and the Travelodge was around the same price if not more!) However, having read the reviews for the hotel we confirmed the booking. Reviews were true to form and we would definitely stay again and feel we did get much more VFM than what we expected.

Room - All reviews surrounding the window-less rooms are true to form. They are compact but feel airy and spacious – the room plans and design has obviously been well-thought out. The towels were huge and fluffy, the pillows were just gorgeous to sleep on, the wet room has a lovely powerful shower and the huge (for a hotel) TV with Sky Sports kept my boyfriend occupied whilst I got ready for our night out. There was only ONE plug socket in the entire room though so take an extension plug!!!!

Staff - The receptionists were very warm and friendly and always had a smile for us, and actually seemed to enjoy their job (which is unusual in a hotel!)

Extras - The wine & cheese provided free of charge in the café area in the evening was a lovely touch and was a great way to start our evening off. The breakfast in the morning was minimal (cold food such as pastries, meats, granola) however tasted of a high quality – and the pastries were so large we had to share the 2 flavours we both wanted!

Other – For parking go to the Capital Car Park. It cost us £10 as its £5 per day at weekends which I think is pretty good for city parking! Its 24-hour and manned, and covered by CCTV. Bear in mind it is a 10 minute walk from the hotel but it is an easy walk.

Great location as you are a few minutes from the docks and around a 5 minute walk to shopping centre and central nightlife.

We were passing Z Hotel Liverpool and saw a sign advertising smoothies which my 12 year old loves so went in. We ordered spoke to the staff and asked which smoothie they'd recommend from the list of flavours and they went through each flavour advising us of the ingredients. We settled on Strawberry gateaux flavour and all i can say is WOW, fab value for a really large size smoothie all for £3.00 each, perfect. My mum had a pot of tea and was really impressed with the amount of tea in the pot. The staff on duty were really helpfully as we needed the baby's bottle heating and they were quick to help us with some hot water and also assisted in the toilet area where we changed the baby. The customer service from the staff was second to none and the management should be proud of their front of house and bar staff. We were just passing this cafe bar but can now say we'll be stoping in here more often and the staff also made us aware of the hotel prices and amenities, we were really impressed and will be back. Many thanks. A+ service

Just the job, we had a good size room (think it was a disabled room) which they had put in a Z bed for us (3 girls on a hen weekend), it was warm and the bed extremely comfy. Large modern wetroom but the best bit was the free wine and cheese, olives etc which was a lovely touch. Staff very friendly and happy to help with any queries. Short stroll to Albert Docks and a steet away from the Cavern Pub/Club. Would definitely return to this smart hotel.
