Tucked away in Maryland street off Hardman street Liverpool is a little oasis of calm perfect for a quiet coffee, late breakfast or dedicated skive from the rigours of the office.
First the good news. Its frighteningly clean and immaculately kept. Considering the state some of the cafes in Liverpool, I thought of dropping the Archbishop a line as there has never been a miracle in the city before ! . There is a good selection of teas and coffees, home made cakes and snacks all at astonisgingly reasonable prices. Breakfasts are cooked fresh, are grease free, and do not contain any DNA of something which ran in the 2.30 at Aintree!. Jaymes (yes with a Y) and Adam are outstanding in making you feel welcome and at home, provide excellent service and are as bright and cheery a pair of proprietors as you could ever wish to meet. You can surf the web here (for a very small sum) and relax to music that does not rape your eardrums.
As my grandmother would say "The toilets are immaculate" and cleanliness is at the heart of this bijoux little hide away. Frequented by students and ageing juvenlies like myself, it has a fresh bright atmosphere which is the perfect environment for a coffee and a bite.
Go on...do yourself a favour....give it a go !
