the hotel is in a fab location for all the best bars & clubs, restaraunts, & museums, the staff are all very warm & friendly , the rooms are comfy & clean, the breakfast was nice but they seem to run out of hot food at the all you can eat section , but they do re plenish after a short time.
The only bad thing about our experiance was that at chck in there was twelve of us staying and i was paying for all six rooms by credit card which was a right slow affair having to keep entering a pin number for every single room then wait for the machine to print out the paper work then dispence the room keys which seemed to take forever apart fom that we could'nt fault it.

This hotel has a lot going for it. It is located near Liverpool Central train station, next to a Tesco and near the shopping centre. It is within walking distance of the Albert Docks.

The staff I saw on the check-in desk and restaurant/bar were as you would expect from a Premier Inn friendly and helpful.

However, this hotel has a problem with the cleaning staff. When we arrived (before check-in time) we were, not unreasonably, advised the room was not ready but they could look after our suitcases. However, I was also told the room would still not be ready at 2 (the correct check-in time) as there was a delay cleaning the rooms.

When we came back later the room was still not ready so was advised to wait. Luckily another member of staff arrived and was able to find a room which was ready so it was not a long wait. The following day the room was cleaned without any problems.

However, that was the only day as the next day (Saturday) when we returned in the evening the room had not been cleaned. On investigation we were advised the cleaner saw we had the 'we are still sleeping sign' and decided we didn't want the room cleaned, as we left at 9.30 and past the cleaner in the corridor I found it strange she did not look again to check if she could clean it.

Having missed the cleaner on the Saturday we decided not to use the sign again and left the room early on the Sunday, however, as the weather was bad we returned earlier than normal (about 3) and was surprised the room had not been cleaned. As we could see the cleaners were in the corridor we thought we would have a drink in the bar as it was early. When we checked the room about half an hour later it had still not been cleaned. So I enquired at reception how long until it would be cleaned and she arranged for it to be cleaned. She did state they had a problem that day, which would also explain the reception area looking like a full departure lounge with people waiting for rooms at check-in.

When we returned to our room about 30 minutes later it had been attended to but not fully cleaned, the bedding and towels had been changed but the sink, bath and toilet had not been cleaned.

On Monday we returned about 3.45 as we wanted to pack because we were leaving the next day, however, again the cleaner had not been (but she was a few doors away). On this occasion I decided we would not have the room cleaned as we had packing to do. When the cleaner arrived over half an hour later (how long does she take to clean a few rooms) I advised her it was too late for her to enter the room and also stated I was not pleased with the cleaning in general. This then resulted in pestering from the hotel by phone, letter and on check out trying to sort it out. How they thought they could change the past I do not know.

So in a 5 night stay the cleaner entered the room twice and cleaned the toilet once! This is not the cleaning I expect from this chain.

As this visit was part of a much bigger touring holiday (both bigger and smaller hotels) I know this is unusual for premier inn, however, it did affect our stay in Liverpool. I will not be returning to this hotel ever again due only to the cleaning staff.

Got a good deal and it turned out to be a very good choice as this is well located for most of the sites around the city. Nice friendly staff makes the stay even more pleasant. Downside I suppose is that there is only 30 minutes free Wi-Fi when most places nowadays offer free all the time.

A first class experience at premier Liverpool 1 a really warm and friendly quick check in rooms allocated together clean airy plenty of tea and coffee large mugs instead of little cups. Perfect white bedding plenty of pillows carpets clean and bathroom tip top .The staff on reception gave 100% effort to ensure we were happy even supplying ice buckets and use of phone when the room phone was out of order. The room staff were really nice supplying extra t bags milk ect with out a problem. This is the best location for shops and pubs restaurants and the docks with a tesco extra on the opposite corner if you've forgot anything or need to grab a sandwich quick.
We were a party of 6 staying for the second time sand previously staying at the Dale Street Premier
Well done to the staff especially Alex Sean and the little dark haired girl hope your all there next year and keep up the excellent customer service
