Staff particularly friendly and helpful. Rooms well maintained - some with great views over the city. Walking distance from centre of Liverpool so easy to get to museums, shops, attractions, etc. An all round excellent hotel... with an excellent restaurant too.

Just stayed overnight for a family wedding. Rooms are excellent and the views from the room used for the wedding reception are stunning especially with the sun setting behind the Royal Liver Building. Reception and staff all very friendly. Only negative was that the service for lunch and dinner was slow

Location was great. The hotel decor is beautiful - old wood but with a boutique and contemporary feel. Luxurious rooms and facilities. Great bed, sheets and duvet. Decandant bathroom. Iron in room. Good quality coffee. Restaurant food for foodies.

Only stayed the one night but we will certainly be back! Only 10 mins walk from the main shops with plenty of bars and restaurants in the location. Rooms felt spacious, my boyfriend didn't stop going on about the bedding! We didn't eat there as had made other arrangements however the menu looked great. Staff were really friendly and helpful.

Although only a short stay the staff were all very friendly, attentive, polite and helpful. The entrance to the hotel belies the comfort and luxury that awaits in the bedrooms upstairs. Our room was well appointed, in fact probably over appointed with Bose systems. We dined in the London Carriage Works which are part of the hotel. We have no complaints about the food, wine or staff. The excellence seemed to continue here, too.
The end of stay survey asked for the name of a member of staff to be nominated. How could one person be singled out from all that we had met? Suggested that they all had 'a hug'.

Hope Street Hotel is well situated for getting around Liverpool, a remarkably easy City to manage on foot. Public rooms are comfortable and you are made to feel very welcome. The Bedrooms were very well equipped, excellent beds and a high standard of cleanliness.

Bathrooms were also good but on my first visit I needed to learn by bitter experienc how the Taps and Shower work. It is quite amazing how every hotel is different in this respect and I never fail to be caught out!

My only reservation was that sometimes it seems to be almost empty of staff --- actually they are all there but rather than be a "presence" seem to disappear from view and then suddenly emerge. That said, the hotel breakfast was excellent with very good choice and freshly cooked.
Price was reasonable for the standard of hotel and better than in many Cities although in Liverpool the choice is good and competition is strong so it may still be worth looking at other bargains.

All in all an excellent experience ---

Really enjoyed our stay at this chic hotel in Liverpool. Rooms were a little tired but large and our room had fantastic views of the city. The staff were excellent and very professional! Would stay again.
