Great place to stay, can’t fault it! I usual stay in luxury apartment that charge double the price but these were just as nice. The staff are helpful, the place is clean and location is great. I will be using these in future. I did think the review I read before I went made me worry but it’s very unfair. There might not be a door on the en suite toilet but there is not meant to be, its modern living and there is another bathroom if you want a shower or bath. I recommend this apartments and I’m looking forward to my next stay.

At £200 a night, something a little special was expected. The BLOCK is a new development and as yet remains unfinished. No room number signs exist, pavements around the building are still hardcore, and reception is a little obscure.
Our apartment (410) had 2 bedrooms, a family bathroom and a kitchen/lounge area. Bedroom 1 (a Double) has an en-suite,but the toilet has no door and faces the bedroom door, so anyone entering the bedroom has the potential of coming across their room mate sitting on the loo waving to everyone in the hall. (who designs theese places?). Bedroom 2 was a twin room with no windows making it feel clostrophobic. The kitchen had all the basics, ie microwave ,cooker, dishwasher etc, but dont worry about filling it up, opening the cupboards reveals vast empty spaces with just the absolute minimum crockery for 4 people,
The lounge consists of 1 very uncomfortable 3 seater fouton sofa, 1easy chair you slowly slide out of, and a small glass dining table with 4 chairs. The furniture throughout the flat appears cheap (ikea?) and not what you would expect from a quality apartment that it tries to sell itself as.
My last little gripe before I mention some good points are the toilets. Despite being over 6ft myself, I could just touch the floor, whilst my travelling companions complained that their legs were left dangling and that they felt like small children. This was the case in both the en-suite and the family bathroom.
As promised now some good points. It is right next door to the arena, a 5min walk takes you to the Albert Dock, The Beatles story, and the TATE. 10 minutes takes you into town. The view out of the apartment window is constantly changing with ships coming and going along the Mersey river day and night.
We only stopped for one night, but for the money we paid we all felt that it should have had a bit more class and comfort and we were all underwelmed. in conclusion, I dont think we will be returning, for that sum of money we can do better.

Room Tip: If there is no concert on, leave booking until the day before. The price comes down to less than £10...
