“Good Place For Lunch”
Reviewed April 2, 2013

Whilst you are spoilt for many choices to eat on the albert dock, your also paying the prices. La Crepe Rit caters for all. It has your steaks, all day breakfasts, your burgers and french delicatessens. You pay average prices at La Crepe Rit a person can eat hear for as little as £4.99. So it doesn't break the bank. It is definitely a good place to stop for lunch. You can even just pop in for some coffee and cake. Good friendly service from staff. With a great view onto albert dock. If you are guy that likes your food like me than a starter is recommended as well as your main.

“great value best views prompt service”
Reviewed April 1, 2013

Was in there yesterday in the morning was not that busy had a full breakfast @4.99..personally looking at the last review i disagree as 2 back bacon ,2 sausages ,2 toast fried egg and beans served at the table with a smile is the best value i have had in a long time and that also in a prime location.
if you expect more on the breakfast you should expect to pay in the region of 7.99 plus in this kind of location.

any way going back to what we had was 2 full and one standard breakfast and we paid for tea and it was still uner £20.00 which was exeptional.
the cafe was very clean and the waitress who served us was from a european background and she made our visit quiet special as we got chatting with her..

i personally feel this cafe bistro provides a good meal and a great service at value prices...so therefore if you expect more you should be prepared to pay more and always have the option to eat at the Hilton which is just across the road from this establishment.

keep it up guys i will definately be coming back with my family next time.

“Don't go for the Full English”
Reviewed March 31, 2013

On reflection, opting for a "full english" in a french cafe was probably a mistake. However, if you're going to put something on the menu you should at least do it properly...

My first issue is the term "full english". To me, that's sausage, bacon, mushrooms, egg (scrambled or fried), black pudding, baked beans, and possibly even a hash brown. You should also get toast and a choice of tea or coffee. According to La Crepe Rit, a full english comprises 2 sausage, 2 bacon, baked beans, toast.

Fair enough. So what's the difference between a "full" and an "ordinary" english then? Apparently 1 less sausage, 1 less bacon. And, please note, tea or coffee are not included.

Issue 2. Having established that La Crepe Rit wouldn't recognise a full english if one was dancing on the bar top playing "God Save the Queen" on a trumpet, let's look at the quality of the food: cheap, nasty & cold. Imagine the cheapest, nastiest catering van, reclaimed meat sausages that you can, add some cheap salty, cardboard textured bacon, and slop a puddle of tepid, no-brand baked beans on the plate (which was chipped), and you're pretty much there. To be fair, the fried egg was ok, as was the toast, but really, it would take some kind of twisted genius to foul up a fried egg & toast so I'm not inclined to award too much credit for that.

Considering the location, I was pretty stunned by the food - plenty of other businesses would kill for that spot on the docks, with thousands of tourists passing through each year. The fact that La Crepe Rit is willing to serve up such poor offerings just makes no sense to me at all.

Perhaps we should have gone for galletes, crepes or cake. Unfortunately, that breakfast was so poor I'll not bother going back to find out.

Oh, and one last thing - the waiting staff were utterly miserable and unwelcoming. Bof!

“A little piece of France in Albert Docks!”
Reviewed March 27, 2013

We were very warmly welcomed to LA Crepe Rit, it was empty when we arrived and full to brimming when we left! We must have visited on the coldest day of the year, yet the staff made up for it! The food and service was great ~ I recommend the 'Rose Garden' crepe, if you like fruit and a bit of adventure ! There were many other things on the menu, other than crepes, give it a try :-)
