I love this place, its full of history and I visit it every few years, even the gardens are beautiful, especially on a warm sunny day, not sure what the cost is but I think there are concessions.

Great place to visit, the grounds around Speke hall are big nice wood areas to walk through also nice flower gardens to wonder around, they have a great little cafe for tea coffee and scones and sometimes a nice bowel of scouse. When you go Inside Speke Hall it's filled with its old splendor old crecky floors, one particular room you can feel a presence in there very strange feeling, and if you like plane toting you can walk along the wooded area that overlook John Lennon Liverpool airport. Speke Hall good day out.

great day out, great guides and really helpful volunteers along the tour so you really get the most from it. Make sure you ask to see the portrait of the Child of Hale in the main hall. It was so interesting a story that we stopped off in Hale on the way home to see his house/grave and statue. Can't wait to go back in the sun

We took our two daughters (3yo and 5yo) here on what was the sunniest day this year I'd reckon (good timing) As NT members everything was free, from parking to the house tour which took about 45 minutes and very interesting. We also took a picnic. The staff here all really seem to love their jobs and it shows as everyone was very helpful and courteous. We had a great walk over the top of the estate where you can see the aeroplanes taking off from JLA and the maze was lots of fun too as was the kids park. Can't comment on the food but it did smell nice but quite expensive as you'd probably expect. Will be returning in the summer for more if the same.
