Owner description: At the heart of Liverpool's famous, iconic and always developing waterfront. Visually, nothing defines the city more than the Royal Liver and accompanying Cunard and Port of Liverpool buildings by Pier Head. Known collectively as the "Three Graces" and loosely based on the skyline of early 20th century Chicago, the interiors are sadly not open to the public.

“Up close and personal with the Liver Birds”
Reviewed February 10, 2013

The Liver Building is a fabulous Grade II listed building and sits along with the Cunard Building and the Port of Liverpool Building that dominate Liverpool’s waterfront.

I have got up close and personal with the Liver Building many times before and each time it is great to just take in the shear spectacle of building. Luckily on the day of my visit neither of the Liver Birds flew away as legend has it if either of them flew away then the City would cease to exist.

It is definitely worth a walk to Pier Head to see the Liver Birds.

Very iconic waterfront building. Amazing architecture to appreciate, lots of other buildings in the vicinity to see as well. If visiting Liverpool I would highly recommend.

“another must-see while in Liverpool”
Reviewed January 22, 2013

The iconic Royal Liver Building is another must-see for tourists - and as a local, it never fails to inspire. The whole Pier Head, canal, Museum of Liverpool and Cruise Terminal is a fantastic complex and rightly deserves its inclusion in World Heritage sites.
