Plenty to do in this fabulous free museum. From ancient history to bugs! The kids will love it. Nothing to complain about. It's one of the reasons Liverpool is such a cultural city.

This was a great visit and perfect for the whole family. It isn't too big, and although there are lots of floors, we got to see most of what there was to offer.

We put our belongings and pram in the free lockers at the bottom (you get £1 back) and went to the aquarium, dressed up and relaxed in the Indian Exhibition - kids loved trying on the costumes and I loved sitting down on the cushions as they copied the dancing that was projected on the walls. The Egyptian exhibition had great short videos.

We didn't go into the planetarium show although we had a little look at the exhibition - this floor wasn't quite as good as the others.

We ate our lunch out in the gardens and finished with a trip to the shop. I thought the shop was great with really interesting items that children would enjoy using and was educational too.

took my son and grandchildren, and were impressed by all the different things going on and the staff who were only too glad to answer any questions.no admission charge and parking just across the road in the shopping centre. just a tip if you want to see a show in the planetarium book at reception when you go in as seating is limited.there is a cafe so no need to take food.all in all a great day out and a credit to the city of liverpool.
