There is something at this site to enthrall and occupy every age group. Particularly good when there is an event on. The tours of the Hall are interesting.

The house was excellent, although not one of the largest we have visited, had about 15 rooms, it was very enjoyable, from the old kitchens, to the billiard room and bedroom. One nice aspect, was in certain rooms, recorded voices started talking, unnerving at first, but interesting. I t did say not to take photos, but as we were the only ones in the house at the time, I sneaked one in every room(without the flash)
However the farm was disappointing, all it was, was lots of mainly cows, sheep, pigs, chickens etc, stuck in small pens. That was all
The grounds, we did not look around to much, but are meant to be nice
The walled garden was ok, nice flowers and a few veg, all greenhouses locked up
Nice little cafe, lovely bacon barm cake in morning
Toilets, clean but rather smelly on our visit
But for the price, I suppose it was good value, and still worth a visit

Thank alisdair t
