Don't bother, nothing was open, it's certainly nothing like London! A waste of time if ever there was.

The Chinese Arch represents the oldest Chinese community in the UK as it is the gateway into Chinatown. We had been for a meal nearby and passed through the Arch, it looked fab in the night. Very impressive, worth a look if you are visiting our great city.

A little disappointed, despite been the oldest Chinese community in Europe, only the arch is top, otherwise there is nothing to see or to do.

I wanted to see the Chinatown Gate as I’d heard its the largest Chinese arch outside of China! I was worth a quick trip but there wasn’t much else going on during the day.
I saw some remnants of Chinese New Year and I’ve heard it’s spectacular so maybe that’s the only time there’s anything going on here.
There are a couple of Chinese restaurants in the area but the were closed during the day.

Super and comes alive once a year for Chinese New Year and it was spectacular ...... BUT that's it! For the rest of the time I am afraid its dull and disheveled looking with only a handful of restaurants (that only open at night). The huge arch is just about seeing but only if you happen to be in the area.
A lot of work needs doing to bring the area back to life.
