We booked this hotel for a 2 night stay.
Hotel on pictures seem to be like a 5* hotel but it wasnt as expected.
Check in was good, hotel looked decent. We went up to our rooms and it just looked really run-down and depressed. There was a broken shelf in the room with a slightly ripped up window edge.
The room was boiling, no air con and with the window open it didnt really help.
At night time there is a bar so you can buy drinks to take up to your room.
On the Sunday night the bar closed to everyone because of a drunken loud noisey group in the bar area. So because of these they refused to serve drinks to all the guests.
Loud music comes from the function room opposite the gardens which isnt explained on any other reviews.
That room is hired on weekends and on the weekend we was there was a communion, but music was going on til late at night so that didnt help with sleep either.
Breakfast is good value, buffet breakfast but not may seats if hotel is fully booked.
I wouldnt stay again with the price I paid as it isnt worth it but if you can get a cheap deal maybe consider.
Its about £7-£8 in a taxi from limestreet station.
We came for the liverpool vs wolves match last day of the season. More
