We had a great mid week three night stay here, room very comfortable clean & quiet, all staff very friendly and helpful. Central location & free car parking was a bonus! Competitively priced food and drinks in restaurant & bar. It was great value for money, would certainly stay here again. A big thank you to The Liner Staff.

Stayed there for four nights last May 10-14, the MasterCard promo brought the room costs down to GBP63. The hotel's in an excellent location, just a 1 to 2-minute walk to the Liverpool Lime Street Station, and a little longer walk to the coach station. My wife and I chose it due to its proximity to the LJMU Byrom campus where she presented her thesis last May 13.

There are restos/pubs nearby, and food at the Seven Seas Brasserie is also good. English breakfast (buffet) costs around GBP11 if it's not included in your room package. We tried it only once, and it's okay, save for the fruits (watermelon slices) which were not that fresh.

Areas for room improvement: lighting in the bathroom (one bulb is out, and the other one flickers most of the time); bed slopes downward towards the headboard, you'd have to pile up two or more pillows in order to get a comfortable sleeping position.

If we'd have to return to Liverpool in the future, we'll stay in this hotel again.

Extremely over priced for what I can only describe as a slightly above average travel lodge. Several light fittings didn't work, heating couldn't be adjusted and the shower was virtually hanging off the bathroom wall. Lovely cup of coffee despite having to hold the switch on the kettle down so it would boil. Almost expected Basil Fawlty on reception lol. Quite why it's called a cabin king as it's only a large double bed and luckily we didn't need the invisible iron and trouser press that are listed in the room facilities. Ideal location for Lime street station but not an ideal stay, wouldn't stay again.

Room Tip: Go to Hotel Indigo, much better

Seen lots of reviews on here about people saying this hotel is awful... At the end of the day, your paying 3 star prices, your staying in a 3 star hotel- don't expect 5 star accommodation or staff!
We used the hotel just as a base to crash after a wedding. Good location from Anfield where the wedding was- only £5 in a taxi after midnight!
Good location in the city centre.
Shame our room was oposite Lime Street station so we could hear trains in the morning. Breakfast was fine, pleanty of choice! All the staff were friendly. Does what it says on the tin!

Room Tip: Ask for one on the other side of the building, away from the station.

Great hotel would highly recommend this hotel was there for 4 days and hotel staff could not do enough for you. Hotel very clean and well run ,and decor regarding to liner theme was very well thought out . Meals in the resturants was very competitive and first class service ,also the breakfast staff and breakfast was very good with plenty of choice . As far as the location of hotel close to lime street train station and close to centre of Liverpool .

Room Tip: No all rooms are good we had king size room and will be going for that again next year

Stayed on the evening of 17th may, because it was light nite in Liverpool so we decided to stay over rather than drive home. Have eaten there a few times before visiting the empire theatre. Very impressed except a noisy lift, we could hear it all the time. We where on the 6th floor maybe that is why. Room was very good staff friendly. Definitly stay again

Room Tip: Ask for a room without the noise of lift

While it was not in the neighborhood I wanted to be in - the employees made up for it. The front desk attendants, the concierge, and the breakfast room hostesses were fantastic! They had a nice choice for restaurants, bar, and room service. Mini-bar was a plus! Did not like having to sleep without air conditioning. Open windows is OK, but, for me, only if there are screens on the windows. And, the little business center with a computer where I could check for my emails was a plus for me, since I travel with as little technology as possible.

In general: Liverpool is a great city to visit!! The people are fantastic! I just want to stay closer to Albert Dock, next time I visit Liverpool.
