“Not sea-sick on this Liner!”
Reviewed February 24, 2013

This was our second trip on The Liner which, as it's name suggests, has decks and cabins rather than floors and rooms and a nautical theme throughout. It is well placed, adjacent to Lime Street Station and across from the theatre and within easy walking distance of the cathedrals and Liverpool 1 shopping area and the docks. A big plus is that this hotel has parking for cars. Reception staff were efficient and the hotel clean and tidy. Some train related noise in our room that overlooked the station but the double glazing coped reasonably well when we closed the window. The evening meal was acceptable as was breakfast. Thankfully we were not disrupted by late returning stags/hens, however our son and his partner were.

Thank you for leaving such a positive review on your recent stay at The Liner Hotel, its always pleasing to read that guests enjoyed there stay with us.
We are very fortunate on the location of the hotel and the fact we have our own car park, something that is very rare in the Liverpool city centre area.

Stayed Friday night through to Wednesday (15th-19th February) So much to do in Liverpool. HMS Illustrious was in dock. Saw it leave for decommisioning and scrapping, very sad. Found great Spanish restaurant, La Tasca. Good tapas and very friendly staff.
Hotel has sepatate dining rooms for breakfast and dinner/lunch. Food good. Real plus is the free parking, so close to Lime street station.
Staff very friendly. Liverpool generally spot on. Docks have been opened up so you can walk from Echo arena through to the cruise docking area.

Stayed here with my 18 year old son for one night and we both had excellent rooms on the top floor (6th). Very clean, warm and comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful, the food in the restaurant was superb and there was a very good choice. Could also leave bags securely if needed. Breakfast was a help yourself affair but nothing bad about that - all fresh and plenty of choice. Only comment I left was that a cover should be put over the mattress, rather than just a sheet. Would stay here again.

Room Tip: I can only comment on ours on 6th floor which were both fine.

Stayed at the hotel from Friday 15th Feb stayed for three nights, was my partners birthday and it was a delight. Had a superior King room the bed was so comfy and very large, room cleaned daily, plenty of towels. The hotel was spotless. Only complaint was about our shower and they came and fixed it straight away. The staff where very friendly, we ate in the restaurant on the last night and the food was simple e.g. I had a blue cheese burger however, it was well cooked and my desert was delicious. Breakfast very nice, free parking, good location what more could you ask for!

Spent 2 days at this hotel. Would highly recommend. We had great value for money. Staff very helpful and friendly. Food excellent. 10/10 for cleaniness. Ideal location to everything. Liverpool is a great city to visit.Only disappointment was our experience in Jamie's Restaurant in Liverpool one. Huge let down for me. I thought the food would be excellent. WHAT A DISAPPOINTMENT. We ate in the hotel restaurant our first night Fautless and reasonable I wish we had of eaten there on our second night instead of spending a vast amount of money on the biggest let down of my visit.
