I stayed in the Marriot for three days last week for a training course. Good points were - nicely decorated rooms, very central location and very friendly staff. Bad points - the rooms were roasting hot, there is no air conditioning and as it is right next to the bus station you cannot leave the window open due to the noise. Also the food was average at best - the continental breakfast of cheap bread, gone-off fruit and stale croissants left a lot to be desired. In fact after the first day I went to the nearby M&S for breakfast. The lunches were a bit better, good soup but a lot of heavy food and a poor selection of salads.
Overall I wouldn't be recommending it for a return trip, although the staff and location were good.
