We thought we would try a change for our many trips to Liverpool; we usually stay at Hope Street Hotel but we were going to a concert at Echo arena and decided on a change choosing the Crowne Plaza. We wont choose it again. Poorly trained bar staff service exceptionally expensive bar drinks (including espresso in a freezing cold cup without sugars etc.... cold by the time you have hynted some out, astronomical pricing for drinks and although this would be accetpable if the service thatcame with it was adequate you woundn't mind so much but it was very poor.
Breakfast barely acceptable for a 4* hotel, typical bain-marie fodder in a very very cold room; diners eating breakfast with coats on. Rooms nothing special at all and general cleanliness was not good; like they hadn't had time to clean after their more important Conference guests.
When our terrible bar experience was mentioned to the recetion staff in the morning the drinks were taken off the bill and although the gentleman dealing with our issue was courteous, his manager (standing next to him) didn't even raise his head.
I own a small country inn and would be appaulled if customers left unhappy; we did, we wont be returning or recommending this place at all. A shameful hotel for such a fabulous city.
Choose here for a soulless conference but not if you want to experience Liverpool's better points.

Anybody visiting Liverpool - be it for business or pleasure - would be doing themselves an injustice if they opted for a hotel other than the Crown Plaza.

Situated within walking distance of the Albert Dock Venue and the Liverpool 1 shopping experience, the hotel could not be placed in a better position.

The hotel itself is bright, modern - and spotlessly clean. The rooms are well proportioned - with 2 double beds in our room (334) - plus a full sky tv menu to choose from (sky sports included). The en-suite bathroom is beautifully eqquipped - with complimentary towel robes and an abundance of fresh towels (changed every morning).

The leisure facilities are what you would expect from a hotel of this quality - with a great gym, pool & associated activities - ie sauna, steam, jacuzzi etc.

The bar and restaurant are first class - with the buffet breakfast "fit for a king"!

It was a sad moment for us when we checked out - we will be going back for sure - and our only problem is trying to find a spare weekend to enjoy this wonderful hotel.

Thankyou to all the Staff - your service far exceeds your duty, and our expectations.

Thank you very much for taking the time to comment on your recent stay with us here at the Crowne Plaza Liverpool City Centre.

I am so thrilled you had such an enjoyable stay and your positive comments are greatly appreciated. I love your ‘Fit for a King’ comment on our breakfast as this is an aspect of the hotel we often boast about saying it’s the ‘Best Breakfast in Town’. We understand the importance of a good start each morning and we feel our breakfast can do just that!

I truly hope you have the opportunity to join us again as we would love to welcome you back to the Crowne Plaza Liverpool in the near future.

Kind Regards,

Hotel is in a brilliant location, close to city centre, right next to the Mersey, within easy walking distance of Albert Dock, partly why we chose it - we had stayed here a few years ago.
All the staff we spoke to were very friendly and helpful.
The breakfast was great with lots of choice and the hot food was actually hot! some hotels don't seem to get this right.
The food at dinner was very good and service too.
The only down side was the noise in the corridors during the early hours (2 - 3am) which kept waking me up, but my husband didn't hear a thing!!!! Also, watch out for the car parking charge.
All in all a great stay.

Thank you very much for taking the time to comment on your recent stay here with us at the Crowne Plaza Liverpool City Centre.

It is always nice to hear positive comments about our hotel and location as we recognize the advantages it presents us with. As you mentioned we are within walking distance from the city centre shopping area; Liverpool One, as well as the ever historical site; Albert Dock, which are only two of the wonderful attractions located right on our doorstep.

I truly appreciate your comments regarding our friendly staff as we pride ourselves on excellent customer service. I am also pleased to read you enjoyed our full English breakfast buffet as this too is an aspect of our hotel in we often boast about.

In regards to your comments concerning the late night noise disturbance, this certainly is not indicative of our usually high standards. I can assure you we fully understand the importance of a restful nights sleep and I apologise that on this occasion this was not the case for yourself. Here at the Crowne Plaza Liverpool we operate with a 24 hour reception team who are more then willing and capable to assist all of our guests at any time during their stay, as well as our proactive Security team are here to ensure all guests are able to enjoy their stay to its full extent.

Once again thank you very much for your time and we hope to be able to welcome you back to the Crowne Plaza Liverpool in the near future.

Kind Regards,

Stephen Roberts

Visited Liverpool for the first time with my friend, we stayed at the Crowne Plaza, which was well placed within walking distance to many places we wanted to go. The hotel itself was smart and clean and laid on a good breakfast. Our room was a good size, although we didn't spend much time in it! Everyone was very friendly throughout the city and not having time to do everything, I would like to return. Liverpool One shopping is wonderful! Would recommned the City Explorer open top bus, the guide was good and informative. The Beatles Museum was interesting and the Ha Ha bar and grill at the Albert Dock is worth visiting for great food at good prices. Would recommend the Ticket for Liverpool Smart Card for discounts and free entry plus your travel around the city.

I value the time you have taken to comment on your recent stay with us here at the Crowne Plaza Liverpool City Centre.

Your positive feedback is greatly appreciated and I am pleased to read you were able to take advantage of the many attractions Liverpool has to offer. There are so many wonderful activities right on our doorstep and I agree the Smart Card presents great value for money.

I am glad to hear you would like to return as I agree it is hard to fit in all the attractions in just one visit. Should you wish to return to our hotel, I would like to make you aware we have a 24 hour reception team who have a vast knowledge of the city and would love to help you plan your day’s events.

Once again thank you very much for your time and I hope we have the opportunity to welcome you back to the Crowne Plaza Liverpool in the near future.
