“Overnight Stay.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 31, 2013

We decided to stay here as we were going to a concert at the Liverpool Philharmonic Hall.
Our room was on the 4th Floor with a view of the Mersey. The room was very clean with a selection of toiletries in the bathroom. The only drawback was that there was no safe in the room, and somebody had left some items of clothing in the wardrobe from the previous booking. Obviously, the room had not been checked.
Dinner cost 60 pounds for two with wine, and was very good. (two courses).
Breakfast was very good, with an adequate selection. However, the Restaurant Breakfast Manager was very abrupt when my wife asked for some butter.
I ordered a newspaper for the morning, but it did not arrive. On checkout, the cost was taken off the bill, but the colleague of the person who was checking us out gave us a look that assumed we were not being honest!
Car parking is expensive at 10 pounds per night when staying at the hotel. 20 pounds per night when non resident. The hotel is well situated for all the amenities in Liverpool, but if you want to be closer, the Albert Dock is nearer. It suited us for a one night stay. As we had a very short time there, we did not use the facilities, spa, pool etc.
As a priority Club Member, I have stayed at nearly all of the chain hotels, Intercontinental etc, but I think I would probably look elswhere when staying in Liverpool the next time.

Room Tip: Rooms with a view of the Mersey are best.

Thank you for taking the time to review your recent stay at our hotel. It is reassuring to hear that many elements of your stay were enjoyable, such as your evening meal in the Crowne Plaza Brasserie, however we are concerned about some of the constructive feedback you have left. At the Crowne Plaza Liverpool we are committed to delivering high standards of service, so are keen to discuss your experiences with you in more detail, so that we can make amendments to our services and conduct any required training. Hotel is ok, it has a nice location near the waterfront. The rooms are adequate. Breakfast is adequate but expensive.

My main issue is that I have been a few times, and every time I go, they find ways to hit me with hidden charges. They may have gained a few more pounds, but they have lost a customer.

Stayed here following a function and cannot find fault. Staff were helpful and accomodating. Place is clean and tidy. Room was perfect - althoug hto be fair, I had a suite with a superb view of the Mersey.

One of the highlights was breakfast. Met by attentive staff, seen to seat and a fresh pot of coffee fetched. Food itself was great.

Will definitely consider staying again. Great place.

Myself and my husband stayed here for 3 nights in January. The hotel is located along the docks in a nice area. It's about a ten or fifteen minute walk into the main shopping and nightlife area. We arrived at the hotel at 9am and were unable to check in until 12 which was totally fine as the official check in time wasn't until 2pm. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful giving us information about the area. Our room was on the 4th floor. Our room had an iron and an ironing board a trouser press a safe and a mini bar that could be stocked on request. There were also small complimentary bottles of water in the room which was a nice touch. I found the room a little stuffy at night as the windows could not be opened. Breakfast was quite nice. It was self service style with a selection of cereals breads pastries smoked salmon Parma ham cheese and the usual cooked breakfast items. I think the bar let's the hotel down. There is very little atmosphere. There is a sign saying to sit down and your food or drink order would be taken. But every time without fail I had to get up and place my order at the bar. Not a huge deal but if that's the case get rid of the sign! I was quite satisfied with the value. My stay worked out as 411 euros for 3 nights bed and breakfast.

Visited this hotel for the second time with my girlfriend. And what fantastic place it is. The staff were really friendly and helpful. Atmosphere was nice and the rooms were clean and awesome! The bad points were the parking was dead expensive! 20 pound for 2 nights and the food weren't the best but breakfast was amazing. I do recommended paying for breakfast. The spa treatment was so relaxing and the gym pool jacuzzi sauna and steam room was very good. Overall a amazing time and would recommend it to anyone

Stopped here a few times now. Good reception staff. Helpful and knowledgable about the local area. Very good rooms though a little on the old fashioned side. Great location, good breakfast in the morning. As I work across the road managing 4 floors of the Liver building this is an ideal location for me.

Room Tip: Ask for river view rooms
