Across the road from the Liverpool One these docks are a fantastic mix of old and new. Plenty of great photo opportunities.
The docks themselves are free to walk around. There's a carousel priced at £3.00, and wheel priced at a fairly hefty £7.00 for adults. The Echo arena is here, as is the Tate, comedy club, Beatles story and maritime museum. There's also a few little shops around selling sweets & souvenirs. Only thing I would have liked to see, are more park benches to sit on.
If you want to experience industrial working docks. Go about a mile down the road, to see it all going on. With old pubs and warehouses, It's time stood still. Fascinating.

It was great to visit the Albert Dock. We visited the Dock Masters house preserved from the past. Seeing the old kitchen and bedroom items was a blast from the past.
We then walked around the shops. I was disappointed to find it was mainly eateries and rather expensive ones at that. The Tate Gallery is there and the Maritime museum in which it has fantastic artifacts rescued from the sea bed belonging to the Titanic and some of the others from her line.
The Duck was still afloat whern we went but has now been taken out of service..
It is well worth a visit but make sure you have plenty of money on you if you are wanting to dine and have a few drinks

On a horrible day ee went into the Albert Dock. We went into the museum which is free admission and saw the slave trade exhibition and also the Titanic exhibition. It was time well spent and very interesting.

This area represents historic centre and docklands of the maritime mercantile City of Liverpool. When I went there, I visited various interesting places including the Maritime Museum and Tate Liverpool. This place provides wonderful views of the city. In Liverpool, one should visit the place.

The Albert Dock is one of the great free sites of liverpool, it is like going back in time they have done a wonderful job of restoring all the old buildings, wonderful views across the Mersey, many nice bars and restaurants, some can be a bit expensive so be careful.
