Some great novelty shops and cafes and finding out about the history of the area in and around the docks Including Liverpool museum and Maritime museum. The Old Pump House is now a pub with lovely lunches with excellent service from the staff

One of Liverpool's best kept secrets must be coming more widely known; and rightly too! Tours of the Old Dock underground in Liverpool 1 at present run 3 times daily from the Maritime Museum. These are fascinating stories and evidence of Liverpool's past, the making of the city, its links with today and the people involved, not least the workers, those who built the dock and the ones who restored it. The stories are brought to life by the lively telling of them by the enthusiastic guides who make every tour sound fresh and new. They can make it all accessible to old and young alike. All this is FREE! Don't miss it.
