I too was slightly worried regarding the street this is located on but found this area to be perfectly fine.
The location of this hotel to amenities: shops, etc etc was great. I love the key card, which opens everything instantly. The staff were very helpful i.e. regards advise about places to eat etc. The room with its little kitchenette was good, the telly was great.
The cons were: we stayed on a Sunday night and found the hotel to be located next to a nightclub (with permission for another to be opened nearby also). I know there is triple glazing but the noise kept me awake most of the night. I am realy surprised noone else has commented on this. Also, the air conditioning was very cold and noisy, even on low but when switching off to sleep the room was too hot. I have previously stayed at the Novotel nearby and would probably stay there again next time as for a similar price you can also have the added addition of a nice pool.
I'm not saying I wouldn't stay here again, perhaps for a hen night or something but if I was after a relaxing time, with a nice sleep then not here.

Dear m0rreymint,

I am pleased you felt comfortable in Seel Street, part of the historic RopeWalks, and enjoyed it’s convenient, central location. Thanks also for your kind comments on our staff, mini-kitchen, HDTV and key card security. I am sorry however to hear that your sleep was disturbed by noise from outside. Like all city centre hotels, there will be occasions when there is more noise than we’d like, but thankfully those occasions are rare, and as other guests confirm, our triple glazing is usually highly effective. The room you stayed in is towards the back and I am very surprised that you heard any noise, especially on a Sunday night. I apologise for this disturbance and would ask that any guest in a similar situation ring down to our night reception team, who can then investigate where any noise is coming from and respond appropriately.

Liverpool now benefits from a wide variety of hotels to cater for all tastes and needs, but I believe that our combination of stylish décor, free Wi-Fi, free internet, music and games on HDTVs, 30 minutes of free phone calls a day, movies at only £1.95 each, discounts at many of Liverpool’s best restaurants, and mini-kitchens in every air-conditioned room still makes us fantastic value, so we hope you will try us again!

Hotel is in a perfect location for all the main areas. Right in the heart of the nightlife but with the treble glazing its the quietest hotel room I've ever stayed in. 5 min walk from the albert dock + Liverpool 1 + 10 min walk from Lime Street station.

The mini kitchen is very useful even if you only use it to keep water and beer cool in the fridge! There is a Tesco xpress at the end of the street for supplies and the hotel are more than happy for you to bring in your own food and drink.

Staff were very friendly and helpful.

There is an area off reception where you can relax, use the internet and have a nespresso.

Best security of any hotel I've been in, you need you key card to get into the hotel as well as to access the lift or staircase.

Would not hesitate to recommend this hotel and would stay in again if i revisit Liverpool.

Best hotel for its value in Liverpool. Luxurious, clean with a plethora of facilities you could wish for. Free wifi in addition to web browsing on the TV, hair dryer, mini kitchen, and free Nespresso machine at the lounge!

Brilliant.

Only drawback is that breakfast is not served, but then again there's a Tesco just down the street and many pubs nearby.

Note** walking up to the hotel in the day the area seems a bit shoddy; but the street is well lit at night and completely safe.

We spent a very enjoyable weekend up in Liverpool. Base2stay was just perfect for us. The rooms are compact but well designed, stylish and comfortable. Everything worked, everything looked spick and span. The reception staff were friendly and organised, and although there is no breakfast provided there is a very good coffee machine in the lounge and the hotel provided us with a 20% voucher for Lunya, the Spanish restaurant/deli a short walk away where they do lovely breakfasts based on Catalan cuisine. Go up the road to Alba de Cuba for great cocktails in an amazing bar converted from a church.

Lovely building, great service, great location; the rope walks is a lovely area and its easy to get to Albert Docks. Lots of nice places to have breakfast around the area, Leaf and Bold Street Coffee were lovely. A perfect place to stay :)
