Description: JAMIE'S ITALIAN LIVERPOOL A partnership between Jamie Oliver and his Italian mentor, chef Gennaro Contaldo, Jamie's Italian has won thousands of fans for its delicious and affordable food since launching their first restaurant in Oxford in May 2008. The Jamie's Italian menu is based on dishes you'd find people eating all over Italy, made with care but delivered without fuss. The family-friendly restaurants are all about serving up rustic, Italian food made using the best possible ingredients, plus fresh pasta that's made on-site every day, and an award-winning children's menu, too. Situated in the bustling Liverpool One shopping centre, Jamie's Italian Liverpool has something for everyone. When the sun is out, relax after an afternoon of shopping in our outside dining area and in the cooler weather, sit upstairs in a cosy corner by the window and watch the world go by. The restaurant also boasts an upstairs area which is the perfect place to celebrate special occasions as whole areas can be reserved for up to 50 people. Don't forget to visit the beautiful little deli shop on your way out where they sell a variety of amazing products for you to take away.

Returned one year later, aug 2013, after having experienced the best food and service ever. This time however to be served and fed the most average food, no taste, cold when arrived, average service. :( i expect much better from jamie liverpool. All six of us dissapointed. Shame...

We love the atmosphere in Jamie's restaurants. We visited Saturday lunchtime & it was understandably very busy. We were shown straight to a table and the Waitress was very polite & informative. We ordered a variety of pasta dishes, chicken & steak and all were good with the exception of the prawn linguini. We were informed that they had run out of prawns (???) and it was being served with mussels instead which was fine. However it was not expected that these would be in their shells, mixed in with the linguini and a hot sauce...very difficult to eat with a knife & fork and no finger bowl or plate for the shells!!! There were 9 mussels in the whole dish and 3 would not open..it was quite clear they had mussels that needed using. It was a ridiculous dish to serve. Avoid ordering coke as it is £1.80 for a 100ml bottle!

We booked a table at 8.30 and arrived at 8.15, the welcome was poor from the front of house. After being seated we were told someone would be with us in a minute .... 20mins passed, when we came to place our orders we were let down by the fact that loads of items were not available as they had limited stock ! In total we counted 7 items were not available off the menu, plus 2 of the 4 specials were now finished. Even the pudding was not complete as they had run out of praline.
We did complain and got money off (which helped) but for sorry we will never return to Jamie's again.
Very disappointing and a let down.

Not the first time i've visited one of Jamie Olivers italian's, however what was notable this time was;
1. The menu is pretty much the same as when they launched the franchise 3years? ago
2. The restaurant, despite it being a Sunday lunchtime was quite quiet.

Gone it seems are the days of having to queue for 30-40mins which is not surprising. I see the usp of this place was to focus on a more interesting menu than your average Italian chain restaurant however whilst i accept they achieve this and the ingredients they use are a cut above, I'm left with the feeling that the quality of the cooking and presentation is no better than the likes of Frankie and Bennies.

Huge Jamie Oliver fan and was really looking forward to eating here, place was really busy with a great atmosphere and we were seated promptly, unfortunately the table was dirty, ordered olives very tasty, most of the specials were sold out despite it only being 7pm on Wed, when I went to order the two mains I was considering were sold out, I ordered pomodora pasta in a rush and it was very bland, bill arrived with desserts we hadnt ordered, would not consider going back nor would I reccommend eating here, expensive for what you get, have spent 5 days in Liverpool and much much nicer places to eat
