“stay at this hotel”
Reviewed January 17, 2011

Stayed for 3 nights , very nice hotel, well situated close to the Albert Dock, and five mins walk from the Centre. All staff were extremely helpful and friendly and hotel was spotlessly clean with good room facilities. Breakfast was fine, it is taken in the reception area so can get a bit hectic finding a table, having said that we always found one ok but I would imagine that in the heart of the summer when the hotel is full it may be more difficult. The only thing I think the hotel could improve on is to have some more up to date leaflets on attractions and events in Liverpool. If you intend to do a lot of the attractions then opt for the Liverpool Visitors Card £29.99 for a three day pass obtainable from the Tourist Office in the Docks and it enables you to visit lots of things free and gives you discount from various restaurants. If you are looking for a good very reasonably priced restaurant then try Bistro Franc in Church Street is well worth a visit.
I would definately recommend this hotel, car parking is in the basement and very secure.

near enough to the city centre to walk in high heels, the location was easy to find. staff were polite and friendly, easy to find even in the night. the bar and reception is nice and bright, not too pricey. rooms are big enough and clean and modern. the towels are too small and we had to request extras. the breakfast is served between 8 and 10 (a bit early after a night out in liverpool!). checking in and out was quick and easy and the stay was, on the whole, pleasant.

We stayed at the Liverpool Hampton for one night for my partners Birthday. When I booked the room in August I requested a view, which we got. (right across to the Albert Dock and up the Strand) On arrival we were able to park in the hotel carpark, which is located in the basement. It is totally secure, so no worries about the safety of the car. The receptionists wwere friendly and helpful, even remembering to wish my partner a happy birthday. Access to the lifts and rooms were with an key card, and although we had no problems getting into the room, we repeatedly had to return the key to reception to be re programmed to enable us to use the lift. We were on the sixth floor, so the stairs were not an option. The room was spacious and could be personally heated to suit ourselves. The location of the hotel is within 10 minutes walk of Liverpool One and a right opposite The Albert Dock, so ideally situated for a weekend visit of the city. The only real down point was breakfast, which as previous reviewers have stated is chaotic....we even lost our table to someone else mid breakfast, when we got up to get more coffee. All in all, I would stay here again, but I'd be more prepared for the breakfast mayhem!

We paid £108 in total for 2 nights with breakfast.
HOTEL:The room wasn't massive but quite spacious, with excellent use made of the space available. Also quite bright due to the floor-to-ceiling window (the blackout curtain worked well though!) and spotlessly clean, as was the rest of the hotel. Staff were great- always helpful and friendly. On the downside, the breakfast wasn't the best we've come across. There was a range of cereals and fresh fruit, but the hot selection was limited (sausages, beans, powdered scrambled eggs and hash browns that tasted of powdered potato).
LOCATION: Our room overlooked the Albert Docks just across the road and in the middle distance you could see the Liver Building, which was just a few minutes walk down the road as was the heart of Liverpool with all its shops and clubs. Despite being this close to the city centre, though, we weren't disturbed by any noise at all. It's not the hotel's fault, but it's a shame that our room also overlooked what seemed to be an abandoned building site. For us, though, this was immaterial as we would certainly come back.

Stayed for 3 nights over the holiday period, and found it comfortable with a hot breakfast which was great although everything was self-service. It was amazing too that even with limited service over hChristmas, someone sent fresh towels to the room. It is a hotel with minimum facilities which means there is not even a mini bar in the room, butnsomehownthat wasnokay because there weenplenty of self machines in the lobby for the late night snacks. Rooms were warm and shower worked well. There isn't much one can say because this is truly a hotel that ensured the best of basic amenities, without the frills but comfortable and dependable. And free wifi made surenyou could keep in touch easily.

I had stayed at the Staybridge Suites previously, however their prices increase considerably when football matches are on. The Hampton's prices never increased and I tracked the rate online for a few days. The room was clean and modern, more than I expected. Free wifi (huge plus). Comfortable bed, plenty of space and quiet room. I enjoyed the bar and expansive lounge area which was still open and serving prepared foods even after 11pm (the area was packed). Free breakfast was good and plentiful, a plus in any hotel. Recommend getting there early to get a seat in the dining area. However, plenty of space in the lounge. I reserved a room for the following week at check-out, my experience was that good. 10 min walk from rail station and only 5 mins from shopping makes this location well worth a booking.

Stayed for 3 nights (5 to 8 December 10) - everything about this hotel made out stay so enjoyable, the rooms are new and beautifully decorated with a very comfortable bed. The breakfast included in the room rate was plentiful - loads of variety to suit all tastes. Location of hotel perfect for the docks & liverpool city centre. But its the staff that were outstanding, nothing was too much trouble - would like to give a special mention to Louise and she will know why!

Will definitely stay again when we return to Liverpool for a long weekend.
