“Very comfortable weekend stay”
Reviewed October 2, 2012

The key with this hotel is location. It simply could not be better. It is close to city centre, docks, riverside musuems, shops, everything you would expect. All that said it is a very comfortable hotel, friendly staff, efficient check in, comfortable rooms with a great view and spotlessly clean, all in all just what you would expect from a Hilton. The bar hops at the weekend however we had a completely undisturbed sleep and it leads to a great atmosphere around the hotel. Good facilities to leave your luggage if arriving early, leaving late. Prebook your breakfast at £10 well worth it, paying on the day is £14. Tip - if arriving from the airport, take a bus ordinary buses at least every 20 mins, airport bus every 30 mins, the terminus in town is just beside the hotel, fare £2.50 against £15-£20.

Room Tip: Try and get a room on as high a floor as possible, the views are great and you are above street nois...

This hotel really is faultless. Lovely rooms, comfortable beds and luxury bedding, fab views and very friendly genuine staff. Breakfast amazing with so much choice and super helpful staff.
Will always try to stay here when in Liverpool. Parking just a short walk and very convenient.
Highly recommended from a picky person.

Situated adjacent to the Liverpool One shopping/eating area and across the road from the Albert Dock it pretty much is ideal if you are visiting either or the arena next to the Albert Dock.

Pretty much as expected from the brand, professional staff, modern and clean hotel with nice rooms and bathrooms. Full buffet breakfast was included in the price for us but apparently isn't for everyone.

I was concerned about parking as it is in a multi storey underground car park. However, it is very well lit, there are security cameras and if you park on level 3 (which is the level that exits to the hotel) there is the security station where you can see staff monitoring the camera system. Also the park is secured between 9pm and 7am. A voucher from the hotel reduces the standard price for hotel guests.

Room was very well soudproofed and no noise from the hotel or outside area disturbed me. The curtains in the room had the affect of blackout curtains.

Only gripe about the hotel is that wifi is not free otherwise it would have received a 5 star review.

Great hotel in a great location even considering that Liverpool is a very compact city and nothing is a long way away.

Bar was very busy late on and there was a clamour at the bar with some people getting annoyed and leaving. There is however table service so find a seat and use the waiters and waitresses.

Check in and check out was efficient. Room clean, of a very good standard and everything worked. We requested a room on a higher floor at the front and extra pillows and got just what we asked for. £70 for a room an a Friday at a Hilton Hotel is good value.

Room Tip: request room on a higher floor at the front

Stayed at this hotel back in June and as a regular Hilton user you become to expect everything to be right and it was at this hotel.
Parking is at Q Park near the Liverpool One shopping centre and it's just a short walk to the hotel. The hotel is in a perfect location, just a few steps to the shopping centre, a couple of hundred yards to the docks and a nice stroll into Liverpool centre - you could asked for a better location.
The rooms are of a good size with everything you would expect from a Hilton, i was upgraded to a larger room though due to my HHonors status but as the property is fairly new i would think all rooms would be of a high standard.
Staff where helpful on check in/out but other than that i didn't really require anything else. Unless you get this hotel on a discounted rate it can be a bit pricey compared to other hotels that are located a few hundred yards away on Albert Dock.

I arrived quite late in the evening and there was a large group on a conference occupying the lobby. Nevertheless someone from the front desk checked me in and recognized my HHonors status and upgraded my room.
The room (suite) was large and modern, yet also comfortable. The AC/heating actually worked, room service was prompt and tasty (portions not big though). I slept very well, albeit with a wake up call I hadn't ordered getting me up 45 mins earlier than I planned,

All in all, very good.

Room Tip: Suite 345 was very nice!

I booked this hotel for 2 nights through Thomas Cook in a package to go to a Liverpool game, the hotel was chosen for us in a way so we really didn't know what to expect when we arrived but with the name being Hilton I was expecting a pretty nice hotel. The check in was fine, friendly staff, they even allowed us to check in before normal check in time (2pm?!) as our travel plans had us arriving at 12pm.

As this was the last highlight of a longer holiday for us we were keen to chill in the hotel before heading out so we'd thought we'd catch up on emails and news from home. Wifi per day; £15! Wait, what?? We'd just spent 3 weeks travelling through the states, Europe, Russia and UK and never been charged for wifi so this was a pretty average surprise.

The reason for my grievances and the two stars was that on the evening before the game (Liverpool v Man U, a pretty big deal for someone who's travelled from Aus to be here as a once in a lifetime experience!) I asked to collect my match tickets and was told that according to the computer I didn't have any tickets to collect however come down tomorrow morning and speak to the staff then as they will know where they are. Okay I thought, I'll keep calm, go to bed and come down tomorrow morning.

The next morning I'm at the front desk at 7am and received the same response; no tickets, come back in an hour when the staff change over, all I was hearing when she was talking was; 'I'd rather it be someone else's problem than mine'. After some pestering and refusing to leave until they were found, drawers were searched, people were called and still the same response, no tickets. I then had the staff call the emergency number I was given by Thomas Cook because as far as I was concerned this was an emergency situation, level 5 and as far as the staff at the hotel were concerned they had done all they can. TC must of let them know that they had received the tickets because about 10 mins later another staff member appears, opens a door and returns with them. Relief.

It all ended okay I know, but seriously, when you are a part of a football package these people visiting your hotel are there for the football, look after the one thing that matters to them, the tickets! Because the Hilton doesn't have a simple system in place to locate their tickets I spent about an hour freaking out which wasn't helped by comments such as "We don't have your tickets" or "Australia? That's a long way to have to come back to watch a match!". NSS!!
