excellent location for airport-across the road-2 minutes walk! Very clean and comfortable However it was not very clear how to access the hotel-you have to go to the multi story car park!! It was frustrating after a long drive to see the hotel but not know how to get to it. I suspect that about 90% of guests are driving to the hotel. The only free parking is for the nights actually spent in the hotel-it is £16 a day for the rest.

We regularly fly from John Lennon airport, and instead of getting up at stupid o'clock for the 2 hour drive for our early morning flight have started to use the Hilton Hampton. We get the deal for 1 nights accommodation and parking which I think is around £85 for the two of us. The Hilton Hampton is literally situated straight across the road from the airport terminal so is very convenient. Love the fact that it feels like our holiday starts a day earlier, and there is not that worry in the back of your mind that there may be a hold up on the journey there.

Everytime we've been, we've been able to park on the same level as the hotel too so can pop your extra overnight bag back in the car if you need to before you head off for your flight which is handy.

The bar serves food until 10pm. Menu not massive but has Burgers, Pizza etc. Nothing really fancy but can definitely recommend the curry which is our tried and tested choice..never actually tried anything else there so can't comment on other items.

The one thing we don't like however is the interior decor in the bar area.
There is a strange eclectic mix of furniture which I don't particularly have a problem with, but most of it is impractical to comfortably sit down and eat a meal at. Settees and chairs have very deep cushions so you can't lean back. Also please turn up the heating. Everytime we've stayed it's been freezing in there. The temperature combined with the cold atmosphere doesn't inspire you to stay and enjoy a drink after your meal.

Room is good, pretty large with modern bathroom. On one occasion we didn't have very hot water but generally fine. Tea and coffee in room. Once the aircon was a little noisy too but again only happened on one occasion so perhaps it was just that room.

Breakfast buffet open very early (at 4am I think although cooked breakfasts not available till later). To be honest all I can ever face at 6 in a morning is coffee and orange juice but it looks pretty good.

So all in all very happy with this hotel, good value and staff are always very friendly too. If you'd just please turn up the bar heating I'd give you a 5!

We had a weekend break in Liverpool and decided to stay at the airport hotel because it was cheaper and there are regular bus links to the centre of Liverpool.
The room was very clean and warm. There was a little aircraft noise but the insulation is so good you could barely hear it.
Breakfast is not up the the usual Hilton standard but is free. It is really designed as a quick eat and go, after all many people would have an aircraft to catch. Having said all that breakfast is OK.
You can also park your car for free which is an advantage over centrally located hotels.
A good place to stay for a short break in this area.

I stay here on a weekly basis and find the hotel very good - both for holiday and business users Staff polite and friendly Hotel is clean Evening meal option could be better for the regular stayer The free Wi-Fi throughout the hotel is very useful A small gym is on site - has the basics for a good workout Getting into Liverpool is straight forward by bus or 20 minutes in a taxi Arrival and departure flights details on screens in the reception

OK, so I had cocked up big time!

I was booked into the Hilton Doubletree in Bristol on a pre-paid rate and then found that I needed to be in Liverpool for one of the nights I had expected to be in Bristol. So, I looked for a low cost / low Hhonors points hotel in Liverpool and up popped the Hampton at Liverpool Airport (10,000 points for the night).

Having stayed in Hampton Hotels in the USA I drove to the hotel not expecting too much but I was very pleasantly surprised. The Reception area was clean and welcoming, the check in was friendly and efficient and my room was large, well equipped and clean. Throw in a huge, comfortable bed, a decent television and free Wi Fi and you will appreciate that my stay was excellent.

Our flight was at 06.05 the next morning and while there are a few hotels within a mile of the airport, this one is literally across the road. The rooms are perfectly clean and modern, and apart from the noise of people talking in the corridors which you woudl get anywhere, quiet too. We always leave our car here too as you ge one free night then its £8 per day. Breakfast was just bread fruit and cereal from 4am, cooked after 6am, but all included. Just perfect for early flights. Does what it says on the tin.

Positive:

* Black-out blinds
* Good sized bar food portions
* No mention of HHonors Gold
* Cheap rooms
* Relatively spacious rooms
* Booked 2 rooms which were allocated very close together

Negative:

* Limited bar food options (and no other restaurant on-site)
* Starter and main course brought together
* Very small pillows
* Rooms are basic, but acceptable for the pricing I suppose
