“Still as good as ever!”
Reviewed June 6, 2012

This the third time we have stayed with Pat at Sefton Villas and I am pleased to say that the very high standards have been maintained if not bettered! Breakfast is wonderful with the home made fruit compote highly recommended. It keeps you going all day and when we got there were Pat's delicious homemade scones and jam to tempt us.
The property is very well located for the city centre and in the evening it is a pleasant stroll through Sefton Park to the many bars and restaurants of Lark Lane if you don't want to be bothered going back into the city.
We are back there again later in the year. Looking forward to some more nostalgia in Liverpool.

This B&B is a fantastic place to stay. Pat is a wonderful host, so friendly and welcoming and she makes the most delicious blueberry scones! We were so happy with every aspect of this delightful B&B. It's in a lovely part of Liverpool and so easy to get into the city by bus. The bus stop is a couple of minutes walk away. There are also lots of great places to eat within walking distance. As other reviewers have mentioned the room is superb - spacious, beautifully decorated, comfortable and the handmade soaps in the bathroom another example of Pat's generosity. Breakfast was delicious.

My boyfriend and I stayed here for one night when we were passing through Liverpool. We were greeted by Pat, who was a very welcoming and friendly host. Her house is located on a quiet road about 5 minutes by taxi or bus from the city centre, £7 or £2 respectively. The house itself is really beautiful inside and the room where we stayed was gorgeous - as good as any 5 star hotel room. It was very clean and spacious with a lovely ensuite and amazingly comfortable bed!! We were also greeted with homemade cake and soaps which we loved!! Now to the breakfast, everything was homemade, plentiful and delicious. The eggs, fruit compote, granola, bread and jams were a hit, so much so I will be trying to re-create the recipes for myself at home! There is no question we will be back again next time we visit Liverpool.

Without doubt, Sefton Villas is the best B&B my boyfriend & I have ever stayed in. We went because of the fantastic reviews we'd already seen on Trip Advisor & it gives me nothing but pleasure to add to them now. Not only is the room as stunning as the pictures suggest it's also in a great residential area, close to a lovely park & a short walk-away from a street full of great bars & restaurants that you can visit without having to go into the city if you'd prefer not to at night time. Pat is the most wonderful of hosts, providing not only lovely hand-made soap in the bathroom & freshly made cakes on the tea tray but also a lovely accommodating attitude & helpful suggestions to her guests for buses & restaurants & general sight-seeing etc. (if so required). As we said to her when we were leaving - it's been more like visiting a lovely relative than staying in a B&B &, as the title states - definitely the best B&B we've ever stayed in! We'll definitely be back sometime & the only hesitation I would have in recommending this great find, is that we won't be able to book in next time we want to go if too many people find out about it!!! Thank-you Pat. We really did have a great time & hope to see you again sometime.

Room Tip: There is only one room! You won't be disappointed though. It's as beautiful as the pictures...

Just got back from a two night stay at sefton villas BnB and had a lovely time!
Room was a brilliant size with comfy king size bed (and egyptian cotton sheets!). Bathroom was spotless with home made soap! The host provides tea, coffee and home made cake to the room daily.
Breakfast is fantastic - all bread and jam is home made and tastes amazing. Highly recommend the fruit compote - hostess grows her own fruit and veg in a private allotment and is a very talented cook and creative home maker!
The BnB is located a stones throw from Croxteth Park - lovely for a walk and a look at the boating lake and botanical green house. Buses to the city centre leave from round the corner of the house - v.handy location in a leafy part of town.
Overall a briliant stay and will definitely be back - beautiful house, cosy room, fantastic breakfast and a delightful host all contribute to making this a fantastic find!

Honestly...the BEST B&B we have stayed at in the UK. Pat is a brilliant host and made sure our stay was perfect. We even had a slice of home made cake to take away as she'd made one the night before. Thanks Pat we recommend you to everyone. Tim & Jane

Came to Liverpool for the match at Anfield. Stayed here with my wife, hostess is the most wonderful person. Room is palacious and immaculately clean (with home made soap which is lovely!), breakfast is delicious (home made jams, bread etc!). Really really impressed and would recommend to anyone!
