For school I stayed there with 6 others for 5 days and had a great time. Friendly people and a good service (even my cell phone that I forgot to take from my room was sent back to me without any charges). The room was clean and we got lots of info where to go and how.

I stayed with a friend one night, during a trip around the UK. That was the worse stay among all the other places we visited during our holiday, and also the more expensive (and, again, the also the biggest room we stayed in, unbelievable!). On the website it was saying that Wi-fi was free of charge, but it was not like that. If we wanted to use the internet in the room we had to pay, and the only place were it was free was the "living room" (apparently, because it was not working).
We were in a room for 12 people (that looked exactly like a barracks), only one toilet (the flush was not working properly) and 2 shower (one was out order, and in the second one the drain was blocked). I told it to the guy at reception but he was not really concerned about it. (but the guy in the reception the next morning was very helpful, giving advices about our next destination: Cardiff).

The building is big, there is a lot of space (more than one dining room) and breakfast was included in the price (nothing special, typical hostel breakfast, but still OK).

Honestly is NOT at all value for money, I would NOT recomend it to anybody!
If I'll go again to Liverpool, I defenetly will not stay here!

We stayed in the Hatters Hostel Liverpool for 2 nights, it's sort but i can feel very comfortable and satisfied with it. With a lots of friendly staffs, they showed us, recommended to us where to go to explore Liverpool city more and more. The room's quite small but still acceptable with a hostel is very near the city centre.

We stayed in the Hatters Hostel on our way down from Scotland. We found it to deliver a correct value for the price.
There was a very friendly Irish guy at reception that attended us and offered us a discount out-of-the-box, without us even asking for it. That was good ;)
The rooms are sober but clean and the provided "free" breakfast is good enough. Of course, you can always pay to get the full English breakfast version with sausages, bacon, hash browns, etc. which we didn't.
Finally, it is located very close to the center in a quiet street, so no objections in this sense.

Now this place is a hostel, no problem with that, until you have to pay hotel prices to stay there! When we arrived out triple room only had two beds in, so we had to wait while they squeezed another bed into the room which then became very cramped. Our room was not clean, there was a dirty tissue on the bathroom floor when we arrived. It was also noisy at night, but I'd expect that in a hostel.

We were there for two nights for holiday break. Our room with en-suite on ground floor was lovely, clean, warm including warm water with good offer price but there was one receptionist and left us waiting in queue when we arrived on our 1st day, should be an extra staff at reception so we will not be waiting long in queue. If take shower, you need bring your own large towel as they have too small towel in bathroom. Breakfast was great, has free yoghurt with fruit and toasted bread with jam. If you want fully hot breakfast which have to pay and also they serve the lunch. No wi-fi in room, only in basement where they have computer there but also you can bring your own ipad or other device to basement to connect the wi-fi. Lots of shopping, restaurants, pubs, museums, albert dock nearby. Good place to stay :)

Room Tip: Bring your own large towel for shower.
