“Perfect home from home”

We stayed here in July for the weekend, the free parking is a perk.
As mentioned in previous reviews alot of the bars/restaurants are closed on a Saturday/Sunday with the apartments being in the business part of town but not far to walk for central bars/restaurants.
Sainsburys and Tesco minutes walk from the apartments.
The apartments are well equipped and are lovely and clean.
We found the location perfect and would recomend these apartments.

I thought this was a great place to stay. The building is very cool. I was comfortable here and it felt like a home away from home. The staff I interacted with were helpful. There were lots of things within walking distance.

The good points are that the location is quiet and the apartment had two bathrooms and toilets, one with a bath and one with a shower. It is also well located in a street behind the town hall and very close to Moorfields train station with two small supermarkets close by. It is also a very secure building and has a concierge on duty twenty four hours. The kitchen has a stove, microwave, dishwasher and a washing machine/dryer and condiments. In contrast there is no soap or shampoo in the bathrooms only hand wash.
The bad points are that it is a conversion in an old building. This means steps into it, although only a few, even if you are on the ground floor and the apartment itself has steps down to the well equipped kitchen and up to the low ceilinged bedroom. To get to it you go down a wide stone flagged passageway which is reminiscent of old prisons!
We stayed in summer but I expect it is a cold building in winter although the apartment itself has a plethora of heaters and lots of electric sockets. It has no view except through small windows onto a side road.

just spent 3 nights in these apartments. absolutely wonderful weekend showing my home town to 5 french friends. the flat is well equipped and living area spacious . there are two bedrooms one of which sleeps 4 (2 beds and two bed frames/mattresses) a bit of a squeeze with floor space but they were comfortable. the french friends who are used to shutters would have liked heavier curtains in the bedrooms to block the morning light but if thats the only complaint then i am happy.
flat well situated with supermarkets buses and trains nearby and just far enough away from the nightlife (5 mins)
highly recommended

The Albany Apartments are situated in a converted building in the heart of Liverpool. The architecture of the building is beautiful and the apartments are spacious and clean. Very close to the city centre and Liverpool One. Parking provided on request at time of booking. Parking is a very modern stacking car park and the concierge was very helpful in assisting us to use it. Very friendly and helpful providing us with local information that might help us on our stay as well. This is the third time we have stayed here and it is always excellent. Would higly recommend.

We stayed in no 7 which is a one bedroom ground floor apartment. A very comfortable apartment and the Albany is only a short walk from Liverpool 1, the Pier Head etc.
Being ground floor it does suffer from some noise - we had something unloading for a couple of hours from 5am right outside but this is something you have to live with in a city centre as the roads either side of the apartments which service the garage are very narrow so deliveries etc have to be undertaken before it starts getting busy.
The free parking was a bonus and the stacking system means it is very secure although getting in and out with a big car would not be easy! It is also a bit awkward because you have to get the concierge to operate the system - I gather this is because one guest lost the parking key and they take a long time to replace and cost a lot - but the concierges don't seem to mind.
All in all an excellent choice if you want a good centrally located apartment.

Room Tip: Apartment 7 includes free parking, some others charge £15 per night

Stayed in room 37 for 1 night on Sat 6th October.
The good bits -
The apartment is very spacious. A through lounge kitchenette which leads onto a balcony overlooking the Mersey - great views, as you are on the 10th floor.
Spacious bedroom leading onto the same balcony.
Really large bathroom.
Very comfy bed.
Free WIFI if you want it.

The not so good bits - (and these are really minor)
Very poor signposting to find the entrance, which is basically round the back of Malmaison.
The lid on the bin in the kitchen is broken and kept falling off and clattering onto the laminate floor. Its a £20 item - just replace it.
The attachment on the shower slider rail onto which the shower head attaches has been replaced by one which is not for that shower. This means you cant adjust the shower head when its on the rail - it just fires water over the back and side wall - and not the person in the shower. Again, this is a £20 fix.
Would I use the apartment again - definitely YES. Great value with very minor niggles.

Room Tip: Room 37 - overlooks the river Mersey on floor 10.
