“Nice Hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 28, 2012

The Jury's hotel Liverpool is located on the Albert Dock and opposite the Echo Arena. The hotel is very nice and the rooms very comfortable.
There are a few bars and restaurants close by on the dock, with Liverpool city centre only a 15 min walk away (or £5 in a taxi).
The lobby, bar and restaurant can get swamped with people if there's something on at the Arena and this could ruin your evening if expecting a quite meal etc.
We asked for a quiet room on a high floor and where given a room on the 5th floor opposite the lifts, we where quickly moved to another room on the 5th floor, once we complained.
Our new room was great, but......the bathroom stunk of smoke! Lazy smokers not wanting to go outside!

Stayed there in December with friends as it was a stones throw from the Echo area, had 2 double rooms. the rooms were spotless and the decor pleasing and comfortable. we had breakfast in the morning and although we went at the busiest time and we didnt book, the choice was great and the food good. we would definately choose the Jury inn again .

My husband and I wanted a hotel in Albert Dock to stay overnight to do some last minute xmas shopping, usually stay in apartments in Albert Dock but saw a deal at the Jury's so decided to give it a try. Arrived around 2.30 pm on a nasty Thursday afternoon, parked at the local NCP car park which is located at the back of the hotel/Echo arena. We were greeted by a very helpful/pleasant receptionist, check in was very quick, the room was very clean and spacious.
Had a drink at the bar before going out to a restaurant that I had booked from home, lovely vibrant bar plenty of seating.
After a very comfortable nights sleep, we went for breakfast, which was lovely, plenty of choices and value for money.
We paid £7.50 for parking and £49.99 B&B for 2, well worth the deal.
Will consider Jury's again.

I stayed at Jury's Inn for two nights in December as I was attending a conference in Liverpool. The room was clean and spacious. I had a wonderful view over Albert Dock's and the big wheel. Breakfast was great - lots to choose from. My partner had sausages and said they could be improved. Comforable beds. A good location. Only downside was staff moving tables and chairs around when I was eating (adding an extra table on to the table we were sat at, etc) with no apology. Staff in the dining room were not very friendly. Would recommend for the price.

I've seen some other reviews, where visitors suggested avoiding party season and I really should have listed to them. While the location, especially for those visiting Echo Arena and first-timers to Liverpool, is perfect, the hotel was too noisy to my liking. Guests staying for pre-Christmas corporate parties were returing to their rooms rather late and were predictably loud. Also the proximity of night clubs meant that open windows would invite even more noise. The lobby bar was overcrowded and the service was very poor. There was no safe in the room and I could not beleive this hotel charges visitors for the use of its internet teminal (pay-per-view!)To give it a positive spin, there was a good breakfast and a convenient taxi arrangement.

Stayed here for its great location to all the frontside dock amenities, and good access to Liverpool shops, bars, and restaurants.Arrived on a very wet & cold evening and check-in did nothing to improve on that.Even early evening the hotel was very busy and there was quite a buzz to the place.Service in the bar was just okay.We ate at a superb Indian restaurant next door and returned to the bar for a nighcap.Room was reasonable, but had a bit of an issue with the hot water.Bed very comfortable and good night's sleep.
Breakfast next morning certainly made no impression.

Room Tip: Front facing room for view over the dock & wheel
