Our 3rd time here now and again we could not fault it. Debbie's attention to detail is second to none. From the lovey welcoming note and the rose petals on the bed to the big pot of popcorn and chocolate eggs left out for the kids.Thank you Lincoln Retreat we will be back.....
Surrounded by the wider fields and then the lovely gardens of Lincoln Retreat, this place is great! The quirky style of the hot tub house and the cosiness of the lodge is wonderful.
Only a 15 min drive from the park & ride into the town center or as Debbie the owner informed us, a one mile walk from the retreat along the riverside.
Well equipped kitchen, soft towels in the bathroom, sky tv & dvd player, hairdryer & hair straighteners (hairdryer was much better than the straightners) the hot tub was brilliant really enjoyed that. Maybe a sauna too would be a good idea.
Had a great stay and would certainly visit again. Thank you Debbie.
P.S travelling tip - If you pass the Shell garage on your right, its about 20 second drive from the garage before turning down Pig Lane to the retreat. Keep your eyes peeled for the turn as it's not obvious.
This is our 2nd stay in the lodge. We have also stayed on the cottage which is very nice. Debbie has always welcomed us both on arrival. The stay was very relaxing even though we stayed 1 night. The lodge was very clean, tidy and nicely decorated. Love the 8 foot bed. The hot tub was lush. We had a complimentary bottle of bubbly. On the whole our stay was very relaxing. Can't wait to go again. Keep up the good work you all :)
Had the best stay here , even though it wa some night Debbie made us feel so welcome and we will definitely be returning ! . The whole grounds is beautiful , would recommend to anyone x
Debbie greeted us as soon as we arrived and showed us around the lodge, house and grounds. She was extremely informative about the area and was able to answer all our questions. The Lodge was well equipped and comfortable and we had a lovely time. The hot tub was a real bonus. The three of us really enjoyed ourselves and are planning to go back. The only negative was the spiral staircase, one of the ladies didn't care for the stairs, but that wouldn't stop her from going again.
A really lovely peaceful place to stay, quite close to Lincoln.
Where do I start!? We had a warm champagne welcome from Debbie who showed us the area around the retreat. Only stayed for one night so didn't get chance to explore, but WHEN we book again looking forward to trying out the walks, local pubs and shopping (a mile walk either side of lodge). The lodge was amazing. Set in peaceful countryside with plenty of garden to relax in. The lodge is beautifully decorated, homily and well equipt with hairdryer, straightners, iron & ironing board, washer and fully equipt kitchen. It was clean and the beds were super comfortable! The hot tub room was the iceing on the cake and the hot tub outside our lodge was the cherry on top!! We went into Lincoln for a comedy night at Lincoln royal theatre, Debbie took up (she is one of the nicest people you could ever meet!). We ate at wildwood restaurant, pizza there was gorgeous! Plenty of places to eat, shop, catch a movie etc. Got a taxi back to lodge only £5.80. Lincoln retreat really is best kept secret in Lincoln!! If there is more of you the house that sleeps a further 4 opens up so you can walk through sleeping 8 in total, and there is a lovely stand alone cottage sleeping a further 2. What more can I say... other than you have to see it to believe how beautiful it really is <3
