“Lovely Cosy Lunchtime Venue”
Reviewed December 16, 2012

Have been for lunch several times on this barge. Quite small inside but very welcoming and clean. Service is excellent and friendly and food is also excellent and very reasonably priced. You can also eat your meal while watching activity on the river. Not far from main shopping area.

“Excellent”
Reviewed December 12, 2012

We arrived in Lincoln on Friday afternoon and looked for somewhere for lunch. " The Barge" looked busy with people having their Xmas office lunch's. We went on board expecting to be turned away, but were pleasantly suprised to get a table for two. The staff were lovely and very attentive and the food was perfect. It is always a pleasure to find a nice place were you get what you paid for and a little bit extra.

“A Special Celebration”
Reviewed November 27, 2012

A copy of my letter of thanks;
"I would like to thank all the staff involved with the booking for my daughter's 21st birthday celebrations last Sunday afternoon. It was absolutely delightful and made it such a special afternoon. The food was gorgeous, the staff were lovely, very professional and polite (even dealing with the strange sense of humour of one of our party)
Our daughter is at the University and we had travelled from Coventry for the meal, we just wish that there was such a lovely venue here. Hopefully when the time comes for her to graduate, we will manage to get a table booked for that celebration,
Once more please pass on my thanks to all your staff :)"
Very much a hidden gem, in full sight!

“Hidden Gem”
Reviewed November 9, 2012

Visited the above for the first time. Amazing, the outer appearances do not identify the excellence within. The staff were lovely, accommodating and friendly. The food was excellent especially for the price. Well worth a visit.

“A room with a view”
Reviewed November 2, 2012

We ate at the restaurant at about 6pm on Wednesday. This meant we got to take advantage of the 'two for £15' meal offer. The food was nice, although nothing special, and the house wine was very pleasant.
What made it for me was the setting: a cosy cabin with a view one side of the swans on the pool and a great 'people watching' view on the other. Given that it was Halloween we got to watch some very interesting people indeed walk past!

We considered returning the following day for their lunchtime offers but shopping got in the way. Would happy return on our next visit though.
