The starters of cheese soufflé was poor, it had collapsed and was like a dish of melted cheese and the pork and black pudding pie starter was dry. We both chose the lamb dish (which was selected from no more than ten main courses) was very disappointing as the white bean and chickpea base left a very clawing taste in the mouth. We asked the waitress if it was a complete dish and we were told it was, however when the meal arrived and we started to eat realised it was lacking in balance and having expressed our view to the waiter we went to additional expense of ordering a side of vegetables which helped to balance the meal. Even at the point of paying we expressed our feelings to the waitress who admitted that our meal was the first time she had seen that dish. We feel really let down as this was our Valentines night celebration and this experience did not gladden the heart! At no point was any conciliatory offer made.
