Would firstly like to thank Brian for letting me and my wife know we was barred which we was unaware of for asking questions about a incident and trying to explain after been my local for over 25yrs,
So little hostelry for you I have used the hostilely for most of my adult life always admitted when I am wrong and took the tellings off over the years when justified,
During the last visit myself and other half was enjoying the the last Anthony Joshua fight when a few drunken females came in and poured orange juice down my back which I asked her to go away to be fair she was drunk , I then assumed after a torrent of verbal she had got board and gone away , which unknown to myself she had turned her attentions on my wife,
Which resulted in a huge brawl in the already over crowded venue , which they eventually took the female out the back fire exit , then for god knows reason why let them st8 back in the front door !!
To which we left and went back into my local a week after the event to speak to the area manager who was not interested to be frank !
We then spoke to the current landlady which she proceeded to tell my wife she had started it really Jackie really,
Over the last few months she has informed me she will not employ a gay again to much trouble ( her words not mine)
Spoken about a member of staff that was under investigation for fraud ( note only under investigation not proven at that point)
Also on one occasion was asked to work her door temporarily which I happily did as my local by another duty manager to be fair,
Also spoke out about another member of staff that apprantley has a alcohol problem and was kicked out of AA should this be public knowledge I ask !? I certainly don't think so !
Staff leaving at the rate of notts, going back to the night in question may I also add when asked about been over capacity which she denied but may I point out the door staff could not even get in the venue, was not the regular staff may I add ( sorry Brian not aimed at you you do a good job with what you get given) to this end thanks for letting us know we was barred for standing up for ourselves.

Well I'd just like to thank you Jackie although I miss the regulars I would like to thank you honestly I've now met some genuinely good landlords and landlady's that clearly understand the value of regular local patrons. Enjoy your retirement would of rather told you this but been as I am barred feel its only way to communicate with you.

Think they forgot our order - which was a shame as it was a good deal: pie & pint for £5.99. Blamed there being a big Xmas party in (they arrived at least 30 mins after we’d ordered). When the pies did arrive, the filling was Luke warm. It took us informing two staff of the excessive wait (40 mins +) to be offered a complementary drink. Other couples nearby waiting a long time for food. Won’t be returning.

Went with a few friends before going to a church event. The pub was very busy with Christmas parties booked and the football was showing on the televisions. I had a hunters chicken pie with chips and seasonal vegetables. The pie wasn’t too bad but seemed to have all the bbq sauce on one side. Would of like some more gravy (that’s my personal preference) the vegetables weren’t fresh, seemed to be frozen ones which is a shame as it kind of let the meal down. Staff was rushing about preparing the table bookings but seemed helpful

Called for drinks only and spent a pleasant hour here. The staff were so friendly and helpful. Wasn't keen on the plethora of fruit machines though. The real ale was very good. Imagine it to be very busy on weekend nights.
