A quite and relaxing atmosphere for fine dining. This has to be the only Restaurant in Lincoln serving food in a class of it's own. We give it 5 Stars. The cosy dining areas add to the ambiance.

Cannot praise this place highly enough. We came from Florida to England this summer.....my girlfriend's first UK visit. This was my first time in Lincoln. We stayed in the city one night en route to the Dales. Stayed at the Old Palace and walked down that steep hill.

We were blown away by the food. A couple of nights previously we had eaten at the Belgo in London and been impressed. The Jews House was better. Best meal I can remember. Portions good. I hate "all you can eat" establishments.

Would visit Lincoln again if given the chance and would eat at the Jews House. Truly a wonderful place. Exquisite!

Our latest visit to the restaurant found Chef Gavin Aitkenhead in fine form. We had a fantastic 3 course lunch in this beautiful old building, in a wonderful calm atmosphere with courteous, unobtrusive service thrown in for good measure. For us this is excellent fine dining with just the right level of attention from Sam and her team. My shoulder of beef was just sublime, such depth of flavour from the meat but not too much that it overpowered the butternut squash puree it sat on. My wife had bream, expertly cooked with hints of chorizo setting the whole dish off perfectly. I’ve mentioned before about the lack of a Michelin Star for this fantastic eatery…… It’s now long overdue!!

I have been to this restaurant a few times. Lunch - we were virtually the only people there. No atmosphere. Food was Ok - ish. very small portions, short and very limited menu. Not a very exciting lunchtime - it used to be so good. When the had a fixed price lunch it was popular. It is quite expensive for lunch - and Lincoln.

A marvellous experience. Possibly the oldest dwelling in England, beautifully restored in one of the most magnificent streets in the country. Sumptuous food, excellent service. A near perfect dining experience.
