Location of this hotel could not be better. It's right opposite Brayford Wharf and the old Roman Canal said to be the oldest in the country and in the center of the city. It's situated on a mainly pedestrian road but gives access to cars and coaches wanting to visit the car park and briefly visit restaurants etc. Unfortunately the car park to the hotel is restricted due to an archaeological dig (Roman remains have been found) but there are still a number of parking places. First come first served. There is a multi story car park nearby though.
The rooms are well appointed and of a reasonable size with a King+ size bed etc. They are all very quiet rooms due to the lack of traffic and have a walk in shower etc. and are well maintained.
We didn't actually eat in the hotel restaurant as there are so many restaurants nearby to choose from. Certainly all within walking distance.
The staff were pleasant and very helpful. All in all we had a great stay.More
