Stayed here for one night as birthday gift. Very friendly staff. We had a lovely large room on third floor overlooking castle walls. We ate in restaurant in evening and had a lovely delicious meal..their rib eye steak was really tender and cooked beautifully and well presented..highly recommend. Breakfast too was very good. I've stayed in a few hotels in Lincoln over the years, but the White Hart gets first prize for location. It sits in the old part of the city, next to the stunning cathedral, castle, bars, restaurants and shops. Medieval, Roman and Georgian Lincoln are all around you here.
It's been modernised and updated since my first visit over 30 years ago, but has maintained much of its old-world comfort and charm.
This time, I booked a suite which was located at the very top of the hotel - the views of the castle, cathedral and townscape were simply unbelievable.
The room was excellent - comfy bed, crisp linen etc., etc. The breakfast was lovely with quality ingredients, we could tell.
Also, both secure parking and breakfast were included in the price. This can make quite a difference to the overall cost of a stay. Last year, when at a different Lincoln hotel, there was an additional cost of £8.50 for the use of a public car park for 24 hours and breakfast was charged at £12 per person in addition to the room. BUT... if you do use the hotel's car park, choose your spot very carefully indeed - otherwise you'll find there's an £8 supplement to have the pigeon poo washed off at the earliest available car wash!!!!

This is a lovely hotel. I stayed here for work about 5 years ago and finally got around to bring my wife for the weekend. The hotel is right in the centre of the city a few steps from the Cathedral. There is free parking across the road but best to park in the uncovered carpark outside as there are many pigeons sleeping in the roof. The room we had was reasonably priced at £90 with a great view of the cathedral. The room was clean and presentable with free WiFi. We went out for a walk around Bailgate before coming back from some great cocktails at the bar. there was a little noise from other rooms but think this is down to the furniture design, the wardrobe doors shut with quite a bang. A great breakfast was also included. Highly recommended!

Very central, great private parking. Friendly, efficient staff. Spacious, bright room with huge bed and smart TV. Good breakfast choices, very well presented. Not too much noise from outside. Very good value.
