I was expecting cheap and cheerful and got querky and interesting. The information initially was good so we knew what to expect i.e the drive was very steep and narrow so can be a problem for some cars, but as I drive a focus it was fine.
I booked 2 rooms ensuite both of which were ideal for our purposes. The bathrooms were modern and clean the bedrooms pretty and included tea and coffee facilities, adequate heating and comfy beds.Breakfast was serve yourself in an attractive dining room with lovely views and plenty of food to make an enjoyable and substantial meal but no traditional cooked stuff, but a boiled egg cooker which I haven't seen before and didn't use.
The B&B is very close to the old and interesting part of town such as cathedral and castle and is approached using the back gate to the property or the front if you want a little more of a walk.
The only blot is the drive leading to the garden which is used as a parking place but is not entirely functional.I would get rid of the lawns and make the whole area a parking place as the drive up to the property is very steepMore
