“Great food”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 7, 2013 via mobile

Food was excellent. Service wasn't as great, we were a large group of 20, and they struggled to remember things, so had to re order drinks a few times.

“Refreshingly Good All Round”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 31, 2013

Set amoungst a concoction of many other eateries Zizzi is just one of some 10 other restaurants within a square 20 metres.

If you like Italian then you wont go wrong, not an extensive menue, but its all freshly cooked with average size portions.

The food prices are reasonable, although drinks a little high, £2,70 for a coke

Good points include very god service ( we;ve been a few times ) and an excellent dessert menue, I am an ice cream fanatic, better tasting ice cream would be hard to find.

We paid £39.00 for a 3 course meal with one drink.

Not all Zizzi restaurants are of the same quality, this one is good, all down to management I guess.

“Unhappy with their zizzi fish stew”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 30, 2013

I expected good food and ordered their fish stew. I was disappointed with it . Please don't call it a stew if the 'stew' itself is just half a ladle full and don't call it a 'fish' stew if there are more potatoes than the seafood itself. I think come here only for their rustica and pizza.and not for their other dishes.

“Taste would have helped”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 16, 2013

Just returned from a family meal to Zizzi in Leicesters Highcross... Our waiter was very helpful and atentative.... Starters arrived promptly as did the main course, most of our table (including 3 children who had pizza) enjoyed there food, however I had a vegetarian pasta dish, this was the most tasteless food I have ever eaten, literally tasted of the water that the chef had boiled the pasta in, no seasoning, no veg stock, just boiled pasta and courgette strips, so to wake it up a little I asked the waiter for a small amount of chilli flakes.... Even they couldn't revive this poor plate of pasta back to life....so it goes without saying the majority of the dish was left.... So then came the bill, a healthy £125.00, not the most expensive but far from the cheapest....
To my amazement they had added 80p to the bill for a pinch of chilli flakes...... Upon asking for this to be removed the manageress proceed to tell me that "if I wasn't happy the write to head office"..... Very understanding of her and a great way to listen to your customers....
Overall I would rate the restaurant as "Overpriced pretend Italian food"
With no idea of customer relations......
