“Great hotel, excellent service - avoid the restaurant !”
Reviewed July 15, 2014 via mobile

As always premier inn never fails to impress us. Great welcome, lovely room (yes slightly hot- but that's a bigger PI issue needing AC) satisfied customers here! However, the beefeater restaurant.... Another story! I don't feel right moaning about them in a positive review.. We turned up at 6:30 to a half empty restaurant and staff chatting - we were then told it was a 25 min wait - I thought it was a joke so laughed ! She was serious and told us to go to the bar. There were so so many tables free and plenty of staff. We went through to the bar and it was rammed - so that's their plan.... Get you to buy a drink wait 20 mins then you will need another. The ridiculous thing was we were sitting next to people who were being served. Absolutely ridiculous. Such a shame our lovely stay had an element of irritation...!!

Excellent service and very clean room, good attentive staff, good food and an excellent vibe in the bar.. Recommended for business and families, well signposted and easy to find using the satnav which is not always the case...

Can't complain about the value at £29 for a room. Room was clean enough if a little warm. The breakfast was fine but the evening was below average but then it is a budget hotel/restaurant. I would say choose your evening meal carefully to avoid disappointment.

I've not stayed before but I've seen the Lenny Henry adverts!

It was just like they said .. A really good nights sleep! Very helpfully night staff, very comfortable and well-equipped double room ensuite with excellent facilities... Hard to fault it!. In fact the room was at least as good as many 4star hotels I've stayed in, but at a fraction of the price... £60 for two.

You can sit outside with a drink, they've a well-stocked and pleasant bar, good restaurant...

Pretty good and value for money breakfast and lots of attention to detail. Excellent service...

Overall I don't know how they deliver so much for the price .. Or rather, why so many hotels are SO expensive. Makes you think why some hotels can justify such high prices!

Room Tip: Don't worry, they are all the same, but if you want to be close to the restaurant, you'd bes...

Our night sleep was as usual, comfortable and restful. Room was exactly what we expected however, unusually for a premier inn breakfast the breakfast service is well below standard. I am writing this as I am am sitting in the observatory still waiting for my cooked breakfast after entering the building 45 mins ago! We have had the usual continental breakfast although regulating having to wait for items to be topped up but 30 minutes after ordering the hot food it is still nowhere to be seen. Very disappointing!!!

Staff really helpful and pleasant, stayed with our young family room was what you expect from premier inn. Beefeater pub next door is pleasant and does good quality food plenty of places to eat and bowling alley, cinema only a five minute walk away. Conveniently located to get into leicester city centre.
