Stayed a couple of nights, as we were in Leicester for The Richard The Third Tour.Right smack next to Leicester City's ground, and very impressive both establishments are. Room was perfect, good shower, comfortable bed, flatscreen TV, clean and tidy all round.Very good breakfast in the morning, plentiful selection of hot and cold food. There is ample parking, and a 20-30 minute walk, will take you into the city centre, with all the major shops and chains. This is a highly recommended hotel, suitable for all purposes.

I booked this hotel, following a week at the Hilton nearby. I am very unimpressed with the room, food and incorrect information provided on the website.
I booked a double smoking room while on a business trip, i arrived at the hotel and checked in. I was not informed that my room preference would not be met, and when i enquired i was told that the hotel had now changed and there was no longer any smoking rooms at all. While i appreciate this has changed, i am unhappy that i was not informed on check in and that the call centre and website are still selling this as a hotel with smoking rooms. If I had known I would have stayed at the Hilton.
I have stayed in Holiday Inn's throughout the country and this has been the first that I would not go back to. The breakfast is disgusting and the scrambled eggs are the most watery that I have ever come across. I also ate in the restaurant and was outstanded that they are unable to cook scampi correctly.
The only bonus is that the room was clean and the bed was comfortable, although not having any form of wardrobe or ironing facilities while on a business trip is not useful.
While I am booked in for a further 3 nights, I would rather do the 150 mile commute then stay another night in that hotel

Dear Kylie_S
First of all, we like to thank you for having chosen our hotel and we also like to thank you for having taken the time to share your valuable comment with us. Guest comments like yours are paramount for allowing us to focus our attention where guests’ feel it is necessary. We have taken note of your valuable comments and will use these to monitor and improve the quality of services we offer to our guests.
Please note that we are a Holiday Inn Express and have a different offering offering to a full service hotel like a Holiday Inn for example, like the wardrobe you expected in the room and the hotel does have an ironing room facility available for our guests.
Thank you for staying with us, and we hope to have an opportunity to serve you again.

Kind regards,

I was pleasantly surprised at this considering my experience in a nearby budget hotel with a name that bigs it self up far too much. Room was a good size, it had integrated aircon/heating that worked, it was clean and comfortable. Free wifi (not advertised) and free internet access in lounge, staff were friendly and efficient. The only gripe was with noisy neighbours at around 5am, but a call to reception and someone was there within minutes to quiet them down. Breakfast is included in the price, unusual in the location. It is a buffet only, but has everything you'd expect of a continental breakfast, but in addition includes sausages, scrambled eggs and beans. It's quite close to town. All in all I was impressed, good value for money. I will come back here

We were in Leicester for a gig at the Academy and just needed somewhere to use as a base. This was a great little hotel and was spotless and the staff were lovely. Great price and included a complimentary breakfast. We were there in June so it was lovely and quiet - but if you are going in football season you need to check the fixtures as its practically on top of the football stadium! Overall a great stay for us though. A real bargain!

Dear LoulC

Thank you for choosing to stay with us on this occasion. Your review is appreciated and I will share your kind words with the team.
The Leicester city football club has a very up to date website and it is best to check on their site for the most up to date list of fixtures.
Thank you again for your review and I trust that we will be seeing you again in the near future.

In June 2013 we stayed at this hotel for 5 days. The hotel is next door to the stadium. We were lucky, there was no football match at the time thus the quiet and tranquillity of the area was kept. The rooms are nice and clean and have air-condition. The staff is most helpful and nice. We enjoyed the free buffet breakfast. As for the wifi connection – every day we got another username and password that allowed us to connect to the internet free of charge. The hotel is about 10 minutes walk from a small shopping center, but if one wants to go to centre town we recommend to take a taxi (the charge is about 5-6£).

Dear Xpis3

Thank you for your custom and choosing us as your choice of accomodation in Leicester.
Luckily for us and our guests the football fans from Leicester are a good crowd and do not affect the day to day goings on of the hotel on a match day.

We are delighted that you enjoyed your stay and thank you for taking the time to post a review of your stay.

We look forward to seeing you again on your next visit to Leicester.

Arrived friday visiting friends for the weekend. Good size room ,and very clean. The staff were brilliant the hotel was full because of a couple of weddings but nothing seemed to much trouble .A real credit to the company. One minor drawback only 5 hangers not enough for 2 people staying 3 days, however there was an ironing room at the end of the corridor.Overall we thought it was good value.

Room Tip: The rooms facing the football stadium are pretty noisey

This Holiday Inn Express has been built fairly recently, and the accommodation is good. We fished around for a 'best deal' and felt that what was offered was value for money, particularly since the charge includes free wifi and breakfast (just as well it includes breakfast because the Inn is about 100 metres from the Walkers Stadium and there are few other shops or amenities nearby). Adequate car parking, although fairly full on the July Saturday evening we stayed.

The only snag I can see is what happens on a match day - or the nights before and after a match. With no match on the place was very good, but it must get chaotic and noisy with a home match. Best check http://www.lcfc.com/fixtures-results/fixtures-list/ before booking!
