Description: Thrussington's Village Store is a family run, traditional village shop with a well stocked delicatessen and vintage styled tea room. Situated overlooking The Green in the picturesque Leicestershire village of Thrussington we are perfectly positioned for walkers and cyclists. In the shop, we strive to provide delicious local produce with such delights as Manor Farm yoghurts (award winning and produced in the village), Hambleton bakery bread (award winning bread from Rutland), Rutland Preserves jams and chutneys (award winning), Belvoir cordials as well as wines, local ales, cheeses, meats, homemade cakes and many other delicious treats. We always have samples to try at the deli so pop in and have a taste.Hot and cold food is served in our tearoom throughout the day as well as freshly made food available to take away (soups, sandwiches, hot and cold drinks etc). The tearoom menu includes sandwiches made with award winning ingredients, meat and cheese platters and of course homemade cakes and scones are always in abundance. Our speciality is a traditional Afternoon tea...always a real treat! We have outdoor seating overlooking the beautiful village green as well as a little garden hidden away with a sandpit for little ones. High chairs are always available as well as plenty of toys to keep children happy. We have space to store bicycles undercover and areas for dogs outside (they'll even be provided with water and a toy!). Just off the A46 we're a great position for a pit stop or a bite to eat or treat on the way to or from work!OPENING HOURSMon ClosedTues - Fri 7.30am - 7.00pmSat 9.00am - 6.00pmSun 9.00am - 12.00pm

“Quite a find”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 29, 2013

Pulled off the A46 expecting to have to go to a pub for a coffee and sandwich and found this delightful cafe instead. It doules as the village store and delicatessen and the friendly owner could not do enough for us.
