Description: We look forward to welcoming you to The Cedars where you definitely get two for the price of one! We have the Bar Restaurant, which is on the right hand side as you approach the building, which serves the usual range of King Henry’s Taverns freshly prepared meals to your table. The setting here is quite stunning and not at all what you would expect from the main road. Panoramic windows in the main eating area overlook the fountain and pond, which is fed from a waterfall under a footbridge. Surrounded by gardens this is a great place for al fresco dining on warmer nights. On the left hand side we have our lounge bar, which is quite simply a great place to go for a drink. There's a spacious area with leather sofas for a more relaxed atmosphere. Why not visit the Bar Restaurant for a meal, then relax in the lounge bar and listen to great music!

I am an avid steak lover and up until now have never had a steak cooked better than I could cook myself. 16oz of fillet steak later which literally melted in my mouth and i was in heaven.
My friend took on the titanic challenge a whopping 48oz rump steak, under normal circumstances he himself admitted he would not have eaten half of it, but due to the sheer quality and great taste of the steak he completed the challenge no problem.

The kids had fun also, with a free desert with their kids meals and cheap drinks are always a plus, my only setback is the service, my other friend ordered a large t-bone steak *medium rare* This was fine for the fillet part of the steak, which was about 25 - 30% of it, the rest of it was blue. Now when he complained they refused to do anything but give him a free desert, claiming he has eaten too much of it and despite it being their fault for not making sure it was cook properly throughout. That being said I would advise everyone who goes there to check their steaks before tucking in, just cut it in half if needs be, or face the same fate.

We have been eating at the Cedars for a number of years and the standard goes up and down like a yoyo.
At the moment the standard is at rock bottom...From the lady who took the order and got it wrong, to the lady who brought the meal to the table and didn't know which steak was which to the food itself which was partly inedible.
Why do they bother to ask how you like your steak cooked if they ignore it and cook the steak well done every time? A salad side order looked old, stale, wilted, dry and not worth a penny let alone £1.99 - totally inedible!
The shift in standards is a regular occurrence depending on change of management or chef, its like a lottery of winning or losing
A total waste of money and this time will be our last vist

Very nice pub restaurant, food very good but a little overpriced for standard pub grub.
Has improved dramatically since our last visit about 2 years ago.

Steak meals are premium, always well cooked, well presented and so tasty - Been going to this restaurant for many years now and always well satisfied with the meals even though the prices seem to be constantly increasing. Never tried the full menu bit it looks extensive and would seem to cover all tastes including vegetarian - Stick to the steaks because they are amazing!
