We booked this rather modestly priced room as a gamble. It paid off. We had a last minute city break without the children. If we had booked a few days earlier, it would have been a fantastically priced room as they currently have an offer on for £29 per room per night. Even for the price we paid, this room was very, very good. It was scrupulously clean. I always rate cleanliness highly, and they had looked after many minute details very often overlooked - lightbulbs in lamps, picture frames, skirting boards and sockets were all dust free. It looked newly decorated, if rather Travelodge in style, had crisp, clean sheets and bedding, a nicely tiled and stocked shower-room, hair dryer and T.V, complimentary tea and coffee and all-butter biscuits. A good night's sleep in a modestly sized room, BUT, if you can request a room on the car park side of the hotel, you should.

We chose not to try the reasonably priced buffet breakfast as it was 9.45 a.m and it finished at 10.00 a.m. (We did eat ridiculously cheaply {£8.00} at Wetherspoon's in the city for a full English breakfast, back bacon muffin, 2 coffees and an orange juice. Great!)
Staff we dealt with were all pleasant, courteous, professional and neat in appearance.

There are several highly rated restaurants near to the Campanile, but a short stroll takes you into the city centre and many, many choices. Maiyango would be my choice!

Stayed here and all I can say is wow! The staff were so friendly and helpful they just couldnt do enough for me. had the pleasure of meeting the General manager who was simply a delight to deal with very knowledgable with regard to the area and where to go- Ok so it not the best area to put a hotel in but felt safe and secure . Would most definately use this hotel again

Nearly half the rooms face major roads and the bottom of a flyover. With inadequate sound proofing (double glazed window) there's a good chance you'll be stuck in a tiny, noisy room. Mine had creaky floorboards, stained carpets (including holes for when it assumably was able to be smoked in), hairs in the bath, and main doors that were hard to open and close (so you got used to slamming noises at all hours). Staff were rude on check-out over monies they thought I still owed, and you had little control over the heating that varied from toasty to bearable. Don't stay here!

Hotel is in the city centre and short walk to shopping centre and bars. Hotel itself is modern and bright, spotlessly clean and staff were awesome. Everyone that works there couldn't do enough to help and nothing was too much for them.

The negative reviews I have read on here do not reflect this hotel at all and of all the budget hotels Inhave used (and there have been many!), this was by far the best!
