I've no complaints about the actual hotel. The staff were friendly, the accommodation was as I expected and I really enjoyed the breakfast. I will stay there again.
I did have a problem parking though. I parked in what I thought was the hotel car park. I could see my car not that far away from my bedroom window, I wasn't expecting to get a £60 fine. I believe that the owners of the car park, who I now know as "Matrix House" deliberately take advantage of hotel guests who make this mistake. They ticket you a 7am when you are asleep. Be warned!!

My husband and I had a night away at this hotel. We found the hotel to be clean and adequate. The room was comfortable with everything you could need for a night away. Bed was comfy pillows ok. Staff friendly and helpful. We paid for breakfast which was actually really good ample choice and good coffee. Nicely situated got people travelling by train. We had a car and after our night out struggled to park. My husband spoke to the staff and they allowed him to park in the disabled space ad they weren’t expecting any disabled guests which was lucky. Over all a great night away.

Usually good but a bad experience this evening. Firstly the kettle is filthy. Secondly I used the hairdryer. It glowed bright red and melted the plastic. How that passed PAT test beats me. I handed it in to reception not wanting another guest to get third degree burns - the lady agreed to have a replacement when I came back from going out for a meal. When I returned the bloke I saw said he heard I broke the hairdryer and did not have a replacement as was agreed. The spare pillow in the cupboard had a dirty cove. Clearly not changed / checked. Also carpet is not very clean, needs deep clean and loads of hairs in the shower tray - it could be cleaner it’s fair to say!

The above title says about all - I was there for business and besides being able to walk to meetings needed a good room to work in. The English breakfast was good and the bar friendly. Staff was helpful.
