The Pool Guest House
Ranked #344 of 859 Blackpool B&B and Inns
Reviewed October 11, 2013 via mobile

Rating The Pool B&B "excellent" doesn't really do it enough justice. Just got back from an amazing stay here and can't wait to go back. From the minute we arrived we were welcomed by Caz and Liv and not forgetting Bob the dog and felt immediately at home. We were booked into the Double room number 2 and was such a gorgeous room, very beautifully decorated, light, airy and modern with a comfortable bed, big tv and mood lighting around the bed, fantastic touch! The shower was amazing, powerful and even in the shower head there were led lights. Another nice touch! Breakfast were between 0900-1000 which was ideal, there were plenty of choice and the food was cooked perfectly 10/10. The Pool B&B is a beautiful place, has been renovated and decorated to an incredibly high standard, but that would mean nothing if it weren't for Caz and Liv who are the nicest, warmest and most genuine people you could wish for. Nothing is too much trouble and feel more like friends than the owners. Can not speak more highly of them, I will be booking to come back, would not stay anywhere else now ive found this true gem. Best B&B in Blackpool by far!! Can't wait to see them all again. See you soon :-) Thank you again for a magical stay.

After spending a whole week searching for a half decent place to stay in Blackpool... We finally found The Pool. As soon as i knew they had a room going on the night we stayed i just knew we had to book it and so glad i did!!

You won't find and couldn't ask for any friendlier Hoteliers - From the text on the date of arrival to the waving goodbye at the doorstep on leaving and everything in between!

Exactly like the pictures, brilliant!!
Particularly liked the complimentary toiletries, tissues, water/soft drinks & towel art - A nice unexpected touch, usually only found in expensive hotels.
Bed was amazingly comfy....
Breakfast was lush and not too early like in some places... (Could do with a pen in the Deluxe room though ladies to fill out the Breakfast form, i managed with eyeliner lol)
Pool room very trendy - Think it's great how you can buy your own beer/wine and store in the fridge there... although, make sure you're back early enough, it closes at 10.30pm to avoid any disturbance to the family room above.
Free Parking either on the Street outside or in the surrounding streets - Felt perfectly safe as well :-)

Location - On a nice quiet street just off the Promenade, every house looked like a well kept B&B or Hotel, The Pool looked better at night though obviously with their trendy LED signage lol. You literally walk to the end of the Street, turn right and cross over and you're looking out to the sea. It's about a 15 minute walk to the North Pier but we just jumped on the Tram as we had an all-day unlimited ticket.
I felt that The Pool was far enough away from all the sights and sounds that Blackpool has to offer on weekend evenings but close enough to still find everything accessible - Even the Pleasure Beach is just a tram ride away.

Worth every penny!!
In fact, i'm a little dubious about posting such good review as i like to think The Pool is one of my best kept secret finds, don't want everyone going, filling up the books and bumping up the prices as i want to go again!! ha"

Keep up the good work ladies.... And once again a massive personal Thank You for everything you helped me with in my hours of need that Saturday morning - Don't know what i would of done without you, i really don't.

Hopefully see you soon :)

Room Tip: All the rooms are lovely but if you can afford, upgrade to the Deluxe. Breakfast in Bed and Late Che...

We stayed at the pool b&b for 2 nights from the 20th sept, absolutly brilliant! Even though we were a tad late at checking in, we were still greeted with an amazing warm welcome & a friendly face, made to feel comfortable straight away!

The room was fantastic! My biggest worry was how comfy the beds would be, they were perfect! Slept like a log! Rooms were clean fresh & modern!

The mood lighting in the rooms & the disco shower were a great touch! Deffinatly added that extra special touch! Shows they have deffinatly thought about what their guests would want!

Breakfast was bang on! I honestly cannot moan about a single thing!!

Shall be returning in the near future! Cant wait!

Thanks for an amazing stay! See you soon! :) x

Stayed @the Pool Thurs 19th & Fri 20th, What a lovely B&B it is too, definitely made the right choice. Such a quirky little place very glam, lots of glitz and glitter :) Caz & Liv are lovely made us feel really welcome, even before we left our house! we received a welcome txt message in the morning and as we were arriving in Blackpool early we were offered to drop our bags in before going out and they were in our room ready for when we got back. The rooms are fab, sequin cushions, glitter carpets, mood lighting around the bed :) and disco shower which was very funky the shower was great too lots of power, which is a nice change, Beds are very very comfy and had great nights sleep, coffee making facilities and flat screen tv, and cute towel art all great little touches. The B&B is immaculate, and I mean exceptionally immaculate!!! The girls cant do enough for you, and make a lovely hang over cure breakfast, plenty of toast, coffee, juice and cereal, and a choice from the cooked breakfast menu, all presented and cooked really nice, tasted great too. The B&B is at the top end of the North Pier about 10 min walk which is better I think as in a quiet area. To say the girls have been running this for just under a yr they do a fantastic job, they make perfect hosts we will definitely be staying again, great value for money, a warm and friendly welcome, spotlessly clean and some glitz and glamour..... perfect
