We were at the Boston Hotel at the Glasgow September Weekend. We had a lovely front family room on the first floor which had been recently refurbished room was spotless and cleaned on a daily basis. Staff very pleasant . This is the 2nd time that we have been at this hotel with Blackpool Promotions and found it good value for money and intend to return very soon.

Me and my family stayed here over the September weekend was worst weekend we over had. First thing me and my boyfriend room was the worst had broking tiles in the bathroom and had a smell in it the room was smelling of smoke when it a non-smoking hotel there was blood on the covers the walls were yellow with people smoking in it. Service was crap manger was not the nicest. The food in the hotel was ok but all the family had food poisoning. My gran took really no well was sick on the floor she not the fastest to walk to the bathroom did not make it and was sick and charged us £40 to clean the floor when it had already being cleaned and the manger sue had my gran in tears at her age .Big argument in front of all the people in the hotel and was not amused with the management as it could have been dealt with a lot different. NEVER BE BACK AGAIN

mixed feelings about this hotel ,after staying here before when i enjoyed it , i was very disapointed this time. room was unclean, next to the lift and when it rained water dripped in the roof. dining room was very good and the service of the dining room staff was excellent.

During our midweek stay at the boston we found the room badly in need of a thorough cleaning, obviously this had not been done for some tiime, and the room was badly in need of a coat of paint.the toilet was a disgrace.
on the upside to this hotel was the staff, who were friendly and helpful.
the meals were good with a fair menu.

We booked this hotel through Blackpool Promotions, based in Glasgow, although we live in Dorset. Booked as two families of 4 with younger children.
When we arrived we were told there was good news and bad news! The good news was one of us was getting a refurbished room (which wouldn't be ready for another couple of hours) and the bad news was one of us was getting a room that was going to be closed for refurbishment next week. My family had the old room and it was the most disgusting room I have ever been in. Not only was it dated, dark and old but it was dirty! See pictures. It doesn't matter how old a room is, there is no excuse for hairs in the bath, soap scum in the bath and sink, and a dirty toilet! I went straight to reception to complain but was told there were no other rooms available. After a very bad night (my husband wouldn't even get in the bed) we complained again to the manager who said he would get us moved! The whole party was moved to a different hotel which was much better. The hotel is obviously being refurbished but it is a long slow process and we were advised they would only take one room off a week to refurbish. However, our friends with the refurbished room also had plenty to complain about, including being left with bare, live electric wires coming out of the walls, no covers on electric sockets and the room being covered in brick dust and rubble, not to mention the smell of paint and glue. The team refurbishing the hotel are anything but trained craftsmen and this clearly shows in the standard of finish. That said the food was nice, the staff were nice and the dining room and lounge had been refurbished nicely, but not the bar. I would not take a chance on my family's health and safety again in this hotel - and bearing in mind the public bedrooms were so dirty it makes you ask what the private kitchens are like!?

a Travel back in Time to 1970 Blackpool
A TwoStar Hotel undergoing a Facelift to bring it in to the modern times. But a Clean Hotel,Bedrooms are in the way of getting updated but are very clean and the beds comfortable.Bar is cheap and cheerful,The bingo fun,The carbaret acts not to bad.
The Breakfast Excellant and The three course Dinner menu good though portions could been bigger ,Waiting staff run a about trying there best " Especially john and joe".The management will try there best to please. Pool table knackered not so fun.A shame they dont have wireless internet would have been good for the kids.
But most of all this Hotel put a large smileon my familys face so Thank You " The Boston Hotel"
