Stayed at this hotel 8/04/2013 - 12/04/2013. The Hotel was very clean and all staff where very welcoming and friendly making a very pleasant stay. The food was good. I most certainly would not hesitate to rebook for a return visit with National Coach Holidays. Overall a very nice short trip away.

This was our second visit to The Silversands and we found it just as good as our visit last September. Richard and Colin and all the staff were as helpful as ever. There were 17 people in our group on a National Holiday Trip. Our rooms were very clean and warm, especially as the weather was coldest in living memory! The 3 hour Free Bar each night was excellent. The entertainment was brilliant, especially Tony Rydal who remembered our 'Makem' group from last time. Some family members visited from nearby Preston and a meal was prepared for them @ very short notice which was greatly appreciated. Our love of Bingo was catered for every night and with several wins within our company, a good time was had by all. Our bus passes were well used on the trams and we will be back for more in the not too distant future.

just got back from a weekend break at the silversands.i stayed with my 2 year old daughter and my friend and her 3 year old.first impressions were good the manager got on our bus to explain everything about the hotel like meal times ect before we went in we went and got our key and went to our room.i originally booked 2 double rooms but when i went in my room it was 2 single beds went down and asked for a double room which was sorted out straight away.the hotel has free wifi but we were on the top floor as we requested and the reception was not very good i could not connect to the net most of the time which was a problem for me but might not bother other people.the food in the hotel was really nice you get a choice which is nice and the girls that serve you cant do enough they asked if we wanted something different for the kids which was great.the bar area is nice with a dancefloor which the kids loved.the hotel is 5 min walk from the pleasure beach which was also good for us.over all i would go back to the hotel we all really enjoyed it x

Room Tip: if you have kids go on the top floor it is very quiet up there x

Travelled with national for a three day break the hotel was good and friendly Colin and the rest of staff worked really hard and were helpfully throughout to keep the place clean and tidy also the coach had people on who also were very friendly it was our first short break and fearing that it would be not to our liking however we enjoyed our time. Breakfast was cereal followed by the standard full English which was well cooked and presented eggs could be ordered however your preferred taste. Evening meal was again cooked to perfection. After the meal drinks were available from 6-30 to9-30 on an all inclusive basis the entertainment on both nights was very good and the majority of the coach stayed and we all passed comment on how we enjoyed the night.I would definitely stay in silver sands again and would do national tours again

Stayed here for the last weekend of this years Centenary Illuminations.
Great location on South Beach- peaceful... Accommodation great/ clean room/ great shower
dinner was lovely quality. We opted for dinner one of the nights - great value - you just book it at
breakfast time. Parking outside hotel- and ideally situated for the Pleasure Beach as you can
actually see the Big One from there. Would happily return.
Thanks to all for a great stay.

Room Tip: Try and get front facing if possible-

Stopped here for 2 nights, the rooms were very clean, tidy + spacious enough.
The location is a brill location right next to the pleasure beach + near to a tram stop.
The breakfast was a good start to the day + the staff that served it was very helpful + polite. They also made separate food for my 13 month old baby which was very good.
The main negative thing I have to say is that the music downstairs was TOO loud, that loud we had absolutely no chance of getting to sleep before 11 (which is not good when you have a 13 month old baby) I wouldn't recommend staying here if you have a baby under 4 years old unless you request a room on the top floor so you can't hear the music. Also I would say the decor is very dated (which is common in Blackpool)
Overall not a terrible hotel but wouldn't recommend if you want to be asleep before 11.
