“Warm, Friendly & Relaxed”
Reviewed July 20, 2014

We went to Blackpool with the R.A.O.B. for an event at the Savoy Hotel, we hunted around for a B&B closest to the Hotel (For walking) We stumbled across the Merginn hotel, and after reading the pleasant reviews, we decided to book in for the full weekend, the price was very reasonable for what we wanted, upon arrival we was greeted by Steve, an all together enjoyable experience, a very warm, welcoming & friendly person, after signing all the forms and breakfast sheets we were led to our rooms, there was 4 in our party, and we had already been informed of the accommodation available so on arrival we decided who would sleep where, we was on the first floor En-suite room and the other 2 on the next floor up with communal bathroom, to us this was perfect. Upon entering the room we was pleased with the size and facilities in our room, however due to the nature of the trip we was hardly in! After a brilliant nights sleep, we went down for breakfast, we received everything we asked for, and nothing was to much trouble for them. We loved sitting and chatting with Dawn & Steve, so on Saturday after the function we went back to the B&B, upon arrival we was warmly greeted and invited to sit in the dining room, where we spent the remainder of the evening chatting and having a good time with them both. If & when we return to Blackpool the Merginn will always be our first choice, the links into and around Blackpool are a mere stones throw away, even so that 2 of our party who suffer with bad knees could easily walk to the tram stops! We would highly recommend this guest house! :)

Room Tip: All the rooms are great, If you don't want a communal bathroom, make sure you ask for en-suite o...

Just got home from a 3 night family stay at the Merginn and we were all very happy. Best b&b we've stayed in for comfort and cleanliness in Blackpool. It's out the main drag a bit but only a short tram or bus ride into town, exactly what we were looking for. Steve and Dawn are lovely and very helpful with advice on the best way to get around or eat out. We would recommend The Merginn without hesitation and will stay there next time we go to Blackpool.

I have just had two nights at The Merginn and can only say it was brilliant! Dawn and Steve were very friendly from the start and I can't believe how good value for money the stay was. The room was excellent and the breakfast will not be bettered! The location of The Merginn is great! You are a short walk from some lovely bars restaurants and nightlife but have a really quiet retreat after a night out. I slept really well and feel like I've had a great break. Thanks! Adrian.

Room Tip: The Merginn is situated in a quiet area.

I was looking for somewhere to stay for one evening only in Blackpool. I chose the Merginn due to the excellent feedback left by others. I would just like to say a big thankyou to Steve and Dawn for making me feel very welcome. Shame about Steve supporting Derby though :). Thanks Paul

We have just got back from a two night stay. I can honestly say that our stay was faultless. I was greeted by Steve as soon as we pulled up. Within literally 5 minuites the kettle was on and Dawn was making us a lovely cuppa. We felt at home right from the start. The rooms were lovely and clean and beds were very comfortable. Our reason for staying in Blackpool was for my Daughter's first ice skating competition for which both Steve and Dawn showed so much interest. The breakfast was second to none and cooked to perfection. Thank you so much Dawn and Steve for making us all feel so welcome. See you again next year for the next competition if not before. Whenever we are in Blackpool would not contemplate staying anywhere else.
