After queueing for 45 minutes to get into the waterpark we then had to queue to get onto each ride a further 20minutes. The place was so busy that you could hardly move and when the wave pool started we were packed in like sardines from 1 end to the other. We were there a total of 3 hours and only managed to get on 5 slides as we got fed up of waiting in line. The rides were good when working but after paying nearly £60 for a family of 4 i felt that it was a wasted day as there were too many people in the place. Choose a week when it's not holiday time

As a Blackpool local struggling for ideas to occupy the kids, I finally took the "plunge" and took the kids to the sandcastle after much nagging by the kids - swimming pools are just not my thing - how wrong I was! This wasn't just a swimming pool, it was like a water based theme park! Slides, wave pools, "lazy rivers" (my favourite), food, a bar, monkey characters and loads more. The staff were lovely and despite one kid that can swim and one that can't, there was plenty to do for both. Great value day out!

We went on a wet and windy day - the same time as every other holiday maker decided to go - the q went qucikly until we almost reached the till and then we were advised that due to it being a wednesday (apparently tues - thurs are the busiest days in school holidays) and more people coming in than expected we would have to wait between 30-60 minutes - There were 350 people booked on via the the internet so they had to be allowed to get in and we would have to wait until the 1st 50 people had left before another 50 could be allowed in!! They did offer 25% off if we wanted to come back but as we were near the end of our holiday this was not viable - I did not book online before we went as if it had been nice I would not want to have been stuck indoors - once in though it was fine although very hard to find a table to sit at and then waited in the queue for food - i seemed to have picked the slowest q but the food was given out quite quickly - we stayed about 3 hours and felt that this was enough - the arguement while stuck in the queue was should bands be given out at busy times???

We went with: 2 adults, 2 teenagers, 1 grandparent, 1 under-10 child. Teenagers went on all the big slides, and had a blast. Under-10 liked the small slides and various small-pool stuff. All adults had fun letting the teens run around as they please and taking the younger one around different areas and little slides.
Floaty-rings available for general use if you can find 'em, which is good for little ones. Wave Pool isn't on all the time - listen for the surfing music. Lines for big slides can be a bit long, but that's to be expected. Likewise the river-current area can be very crowded, but if you keep moving you're ok.
Leave everything in the lockers, because if you bring anything out it'll get soaked. Well, unless you have a person sitting at the little tables overlooking the place.

Pretty clean, and good for at least a few hours. If they've got the energy, you could probably do most of a day there.
