We loved staying at The Scala hotel in Blackpool, Sandra and Arthur invited us into the hotel with a friendly welcome. The room we stayed in was very clean and the bed VERY comfy! Breakfast was very filling with plenty of choice and plenty of tea&coffee top ups. All in all a very friendly place and we will definately be going back to stay again as it was great value for money. Also this hotel is very close to the Pleasure beach theme park and train station, with a 2 minute walk to the sea front.

Room Tip: Ring Sandra and Arthur they were very helpful on the phone.

We stayed in the Scala in may of this year, having gone to Blackpool for a weekend birthday party. Sandra, the host was extremely friendly and very helpful. The rooms were clean and adequate. Breakfast was served promptly on time and was more than enough to last you until lunch time, with great service from the dining room staff. The Scala is nicely situated on South Shore, close to the pleasure beach and all amenities. I would be happy to recommend this family run hotel to anyone..

Room Tip: family rooms a little small

staying in Blackpool on business I was looking for somewhere inexpensive but clean and comfortable - the reviews where good so I booked. This hotel is certainly enhanced by the friendliness of its owners. Travelling alone I really appreciated Sandra taking the trouble to always call me by my first name, that little personal touch makes such a huge difference. The hotel was lovely and clean, very homely and welcoming.
The breakfast was cooked to perfection - what more can you add.
If you want large, plush and impersoanl this hotel is not for you, but if you want a clean, comfy and good value for money look no further. Its slightly out of the main area so nice and quite too

Trips to Blackpool are something of a family tradition, and we endured a number of low-quality, unfriendly hotels and B&B's before we discovered The Scala - And since then we have never gone anywhere else!

The Scala is brilliantly situated just to the south of the Pleasure Beach, so avoids the sometimes unwelcome bustle of the main promenade, but still within a wonderful walking distance to most attractions. The homely atmosphere will hit you almost immediately with the friendliness of the owners, who will quickly become more like friends than faculty, and then compounded with the exceptionally clean and comfy rooms and an absolutely fantastic breakfast.

Could not recommend more!
